It did work and he did find another by the next day. Unfortunately, even though the second lamp had the same style # as the first, because they are custom-made, there was a difference in rhe shape. Another lamp on the floor was the same, but had a lower price. Michael was very accomodating, letting us switch round lamps to get what we wanted and accepting the lower price on the two we chose. The owner took the lamp in back to look at and repair, in less than 5 minutes he brought it back ready-to-go; however, he charged her $25 plus tax. When she questioned him if why such a basic job cost so much he had no answer. He never gave her a quote, he just fixed it and charged an inflated rate. Most reputable repair stores would have tightened it for free, or charged a small service fee. There are plenty of family-run reputable electrical repair shops in the area, go anywhere but here! Horrible service, horrible owner, be warned!
