The owner was the county tax commissioner and seems to think himself better than everyone else. His wife's attitude may be even worse! I deleted my last review because I was active duty military and Rodney Cain (owner) threatened to contact my command and claim my statements were libelous. Some southern gentlemen, and surely a patriot! The Cains are a close minded and might I say even more so, simple minded bunch. I would try Cecil Bay just up the road! Mr. Pete provided immediate assistance with a power plug adapter. The bathing house was clean and nicely decorated. Most important, the water was nice and hot!! I felt right at home and relaxed. There were multiple hooks to hang my bags and towel. There was even a nice space for me to put on make up. The soon-to-be hosts have a 10 year old son, Jeremya, that gave us a tour of the woodworking area and was so knowledgeable. He was a cool kid and we enjoyed him. There are several permanent residents and they put on a big Thanksgiving spread in which we were invited to join them. We had plans for the day but when we returned to the campground early that evening, we were again invited to join them for leftovers and dessert. We enjoyed visiting with them and the food. The bathhouse was kept clean and the campground was quiet. This seems to be a nice welcoming community of people.

They are working on making it look better by mulching beds when in reality they need to work on the RV sites. The sites are getting worse and worse and need maintenance. Most of not all sites need to be leveled, remove palm trees to make it easier for big rigs to get into a few spaces, and several water spigots at sites leaking and making it muddy. There also appears to be quite a few full-timers living there. Host was very nice. Unfortunately, we will not be back. No longer worth the money.

The owners are the best, they treated us very well and it's nice to know there are still decent and caring people in this world. We needed a place to stay during the evacuation from Hurricane Milton in Florida and they had one site left. The owner wouldn't take payment until we arrived but promised he would hold the site for us. He even called us while we were driving to check in and make sure we were not having any issues. He has an employee that lives on site and she came over as soon as we pulled in to see if we needed any help. We enjoyed it so much, we stayed two nights. Most of the people staying there were Florida evacuees so the owner called his church and they made dinner for everyone (unfortunately we missed it, we arrived too late, but who does that). Keith (the owner), we would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts, you are one of a kind. We will definitely make an effort to return in the future.

You can tell several people have hit the pole near the dog park. This is a really great park, That is well lit with nice grass, beautiful dog park and paved sites but the exit is horrible. A 42 foot rig cannot make the tight turn from certain sites. They need to re-evaluate what sites big rigs should stay in. I would definitely stay again, but I would make sure we parked in a site we could easily exit from. We need more stops like this! I give 5 stars for cleanliness and convenience!
