While other clubs see dollar signs, CVSC sees potential and donates volunteer hours to help develop youth. According to their webiste, all CVSC teams are given the freedom to select their own their own budget and their own schedule. We work together to raise money for our teams by hosting the Cool Summer Cup every June and a Fireworks Stand every 4th of July. These fundraisers and other annual fundraisers help CVSC Teams raise money for their travel expenses, uniforms, equipment and training. CVSC teams play in the Central Coast Spring League (CCSL), Oxnard Youth Premiere Soccer League (OYPSL) and multiple tournaments in CalSouth and CalNorth throughout the year. The older and more competitive teams play in higher level tournaments and college showcases. All CVSC teams are encouraged to play in State Cup or National Cup. The Coastal Valley Soccer Club is based in the Santa Maria Valley and has extended our club to Santa Barbara, Paso Robles, and the surrounding areas. We are proud of our accomplishments, the freedom we give to all of our teams and the results that have been achieved by our teams over the years with multiple League, Tournament and State Championships. Contact the board if you are interested in learning how to sign up your player or team. CVSC trains and plays their home games at the Crossroads Open Space located across from Fletcher Park in Santa Maria. Until the City of Santa Maria is able to invest into a new set of fields for our community, CVSC benefits from this space which is cared for by those who use them. Some might look at this space and its fields and scoff. Others see a creative use of space where character is molded and friendships are galvanized. My son is playing on a newly formed team and it's Exciting to see them develop in a quality organization.

Our daughter loved the swings and seeing all the wildlife (ducks, squirrels, seagulls). The playground looked clean and well maintained and safe for little ones to play around on. Although we did witness a seagull completely dig into someone's bag for an open bag of chips! So watch your food-these birds are aggressive! Haha! Restrooms were cleaned and stocked too. Plenty of parking and good midway between Cayucos and Morro- but closer to Morro. Short drive in either direction.

If you prefer to stay on the trail you can easily walk miles walking the expanse off paths and spots where you can birdwatch or take a break on a bench and enjoy the view. There are BBQ pits around the large grass area where you can also bring the kiddos to play on the climbing structure. The park is always busy and active with people on bikes, rollerblades or simply out walking their pets on leash. Dogs are welcome to come enjoy the several grassy areas where they are encouraged to explore, always on leash! (Please clean up after your pet. Bags are located by bathrooms) Last, but not least, make sure you bring layers because it tends to get windy out along the coast. Cloisters park A++
