However, the quality of the service was not great. I asked for my hair to just be down and curled. She didn't seem like she really wanted to be there or do my service, because I wasn't met with kindness or general respectful customer service. The stylist was very blunt and, in all honesty, not very nice. She then began curling my hair with a flat iron. I don't remember the name of my stylist but I noticed during my appointment that she was absurdly rough with my hair. I thought maybe it was just a coincidence or she pulled too hard on accident one time. She actually consistently pulled my hair extremely hard as she styled my hair with the flat iron and it was very painful. A couple days later, I noticed the top of my scalp to be tender and discovered some inflammation in my hair follicles. After reading some similar reviews, it seems like I'm not the only one who's had this painful experience & that their hair was also curled with a flat iron when there are curling irons readily available. I wasn't asked if I was okay with that either and neither were the customers in these other reviews. I am pretty disappointed considering the price of the service and the fact that the stylist was tipped accordingly. Will not be returning to this location. I hope management sees these reviews and takes them seriously considering the consistency of such events.

We walked in and were immediately greeted by the front desk, and the vibe inside was amazing. They even offered us champagne, which set the tone right away. Since it was my first blowout, I came in a little nervous, but that disappeared fast. Angelo was so knowledgeable and explained each step before he did anything. And his head massage? Honestly, beyond amazing. He was super thoughtful while washing my hair, checking the water temperature and making sure I was comfortable the whole time. Back at his chair, he was gentle while detangling my hair and very communicative about how much tension he was using during the blowout so nothing ever felt uncomfortable. Plus the conversations we had and his whole personality were such a vibe. Overall, I had such a good time here and would absolutely recommend anyone stopping by the salon to book with Angelo.

But this last time I had an issue with my extensions and was honestly worried about the health of my hair. I contacted the salon. Dana, the salon owner, immediately stepped in and took care of me. She offered champagne, water or a mimosa which was really nice. My stylist took longer than we expected instead of 45 minutes I was there an hour and a half. And I was honestly nervous because black hair is very different than others but she did great! They initially told me I would be charged an additional $20 for the extended time. This is the only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5. I'm not sure why the customer would be charged for the stylists issue with time management but I was happy the receptionist with the amazing attitude offered to waive it or subtract another charge for me. I'm happy with the way my hair turned out will happily return simply due to the better customer service.
