*Moms Read for Baby showers/Bridal Showers*
I wanted to share my experience because it wasn't about the coffee at all, but rather how uncomfortable the staff made me feel. I had planned my baby shower at this place and one of the staff members put my name on the reservations calendar. Later that day after doing a walk through I sat in front of them making my invitations for the event. I double-checked if everything was in order before leaving. The girl assured me that I was all set.
On the day of my son's birthday, when we arrived to set up, the staff awkwardly informed me that I wasn't on the reservation. To my surprise, they then mentioned that they would charge me $100 per hour if I wanted to proceed with the event. In fact, just 30 minutes before the party, while I was still setting up, they suggested that I move my event if I didn't want to pay the extra charges. I explained that I had elderly guests arriving in 30 minutes and it wouldn't be feasible to change the venue. Throughout this whole ordeal, the staff member also kept taking photos of me setting up, which made me and my family feel extremely uncomfortable.
It was quite ridiculous because they had no other customers that day, yet my friends and family came and purchased multiple drinks and other items from downstairs.
Imagine being a stressed-out mom on your child's birthday and then having to deal with rude staff who were yelling over you and creating a scene because they couldn't find me on the schedule.
I am a person that checks my boxes so things are all sorted out and I would have never even sent my invites if I wasn't told by their staff we were all set.
Despite loving the location and its appearance, I don't think I want to go back because of how poorly I was treated.
So, if you're planning a party with around 10-15 people, just be aware that they may charge you for simply being there, which is something to consider before making your reservation. Oh and they will not let you use more that 3 tables! read more
