I've lived here over three years, since March 2022. As of March 2025, my new lease "Offer" (If you don't accept the "Offer" they will charge you more) was $1,700.00 a month for my one bedroom apt. I decided to go on a month-to-month lease because I'm ready to buy a home. For my month to month lease, they added $650.00 a month!! So for March, April, and May 2025 I've paid $2,350.00 a month for a one bedroom apt!! I'll add that the apartment is old (circa 1970's?) has an ancient and very gassy-smelling dryer and stove (Yes, I called maintenance. They say there's no problem). There are bugs and slugs (would you like to see a photo of the 5 inch slug that was in my bathroom one morning? (and no, Admin, I don't want pest control here spraying my apt every single week when it hardly helps). There aren't enough electrical outlets (and no, Admin, I don't want to petition for a "special need" so you'll put in another outlet. I have the same electrical needs as any human living in the 2000's) There are almost constant plumbing problems (Just ask anyone in a downstairs apt), And every summer, mildew and sewer gas smells fill my apt because rain water collects all around, and possibly under, the building. Then there were the two bats that got in through the vents in my neighbor's bathroom... But enough non-financial info. FYI, The advertised rents do not include the extra fees that in my experience can add about $75 per month. Since I started renting here in March 2022, the yearly lease hikes for my lease "Offer" have been about $85 to $100 per month. That's about 6% per year. This would seem to be twice the highest average national rent increases. In August 2023, United One Lancaster reported "Overall, annual rent growth is back to pre-pandemic norms of 1% to 3% per year. They were quoting The Washington Post. So. This information is from my experience in my one bedroom apartment here at Miller's Crossing from March 2022 to May 12, 2025. As we were moving out in the pre-move out inspection they said everything looked great and that we didn't to be present on the final inspection. upon moving out we get the final inspection and they basically charged us for everything, even though we left the apartment cleaner than when we received it. The most ridiculous charge was $250 for removing baby proofing clips from the kitchen cabinets 6-8 due to "damages" as they were placed on with double sided tape. I even replaced them a few times with no damage whatsoever. I understand we forget to remove them, but $250 ARE YOU KIDDING ME. In conclusion: 1. rent isn't cheap 2. amenities aren't the best, we even had to pay to use the party room. 3. do not trust the pictures on the website 4. read the lease agreement in detail, as they have a million fees when moving out. 5. work orders take forever, as they only have 5 maintenance for 500 apts overall it my fault for not doing my due diligence, if I had I wouldn't have pick Kensington as my place of residence.

Upon their arrival at 2pm (5 hours late), Dwayne called and advised they were at the house and decided to unload the truck in the driveway. As we pulled up to the house from picking up cleaning supplies and water for the guys we noticed our stuff on the driveway like it was a garage sale or something. It was so unprofessional and disappointing to see. Then, after they moved the things into the house Dwayne seemed frustrated and annoyed when I asked about him installing the TV's and assembly of the beds which was part of the agreement. He proceeded to install the bed and TV's. He seemed to struggle to install a TV wall mount and TV on the wall. Then, I went out to the hardware store to pick up more proper screws for the TV mount. Not sure what he did with the screws he removed in Manchester for the same mount. All the screws were packed and labled to make the installations smooth. But while I was gone he assembled 1 queen frame and a twin futon. When I came back they placed the TV on the wall and I looked at everything that wasn't till wrapped in plastic. They brought in the final piece of furniture. It was completely destroyed. I told them to leave it in the Garage. He decided to leave it right at the entrance of the garage door. So I had to move it to the side wall myself. He said it was fixable and its not. We went to sleep woke up the next morning sat back on the bed and the bed shifted with a loud bang. Noticed that the bed wasn't properly assembled screws missing and loose. I immediately checked everything. The twin bed was missing screws and shifting left and right. My antique coffee table was scuffed in mutiple places, dinning table scuffed, dressers scuffed, bed frame chipped and scuffed, some China plates cracked and destroyed, desk missing a part, screws checked and noticed screws were loosened and had to be tightened and the motor bar was disconnected, computer monitor mount was chipped like it was dropped on the ground. I was emailed by Dwayne to sent photos was told by email that they did their best and I would be fully compensated. I'm still waiting.
