It has been a game-changer as they became a trusted partner in our financial journey, holistically understanding our family's financial objectives, concerns, and unique circumstances while crafting our personalized plan empowering us to make informed decisions. The firm's clear and transparent communication and patience were invaluable as they proactively and reactively responded to our situation, questions and concerns. Their expertise, knowledge and strategic guidance (taxes included) have enhanced our financial outlook and long-term aspirations for my wife and I, as well as our children. This allowed us to focus on other aspects of our lives, whether working to advance our career or spending more time with our family. Looking back at the nearly 20 years as a client, the gift of time to spend with our family, friends, career and other personal endeavors was one of the most valuable and unexpected benefits as we began the journey with them. I highly recommend Acorn Financial Services to anyone in search of a trustworthy, knowledgeable, and client-focused financial advisor and planner. I have introduced close to 30 close friends and family members as clients over the years, all with similar positive experiences.

One of the things I was most impressed with about Josh was that he says what he's going to do and then he does it. He arrived at my house on time and looking sharp. The presentation he made was straightforward and convincing. I had a 401(k) account with a previous employer that Josh worked with me to rollover to a Traditional IRA. Now my money is being watched by someone who is conscious of my goals and lifestyle. It felt great to be involved in the decision-making process. I'm confident my nest egg is secure. One thing I had never considered was the tax-diversification benefits of cash value life insurance and the other benefits of term insurance. We were able to find the right balance of each for my situation. Josh represents himself and his company, New York Life, very well.

After a few consultations, one in his office and two in my house, we implemented solutions for life insurance and retirement. Josh took a collaborative approach; we exchanged several emails back and forth throughout the entire process. I was involved every step of the way; I always knew what was going on and what the next steps were. One of the most impressive practices was Josh's methodical/deliberate approach. His process was exhaustive. Since I put the financial plan in place, Josh meets with me every 6 months for a check-up/review.

Troy is wildly different from this and his genuine concern and desire to help clients from all different stages of life is clear as day. I am very careful about where I send any client of mine and it's nice to know that I can trust they'll be taken care of, when they meet with Troy.
