Our dryer wouldn't start last night, and I found SimpleFix via all the great Yelp reviews…read more Submitted a request online and within minutes received a reply and said they would come out today between 12-2. At 12:10 Mahmoud arrived at my door. Very presentable and professional. Basically spent over an hour with our dryer examining everything, taking it apart, and determined that the drive motor was at fault (8 yr old unit). It's too bad these "modern" units don't last decades like the ones we grew up with, but that's a different issue. Mahmoud informed us of the estimate to fix, and basically it's about as much as a new unit. So I went onto Costco.com and bought a new dryer. Mahmoud charged the $65 inspection fee, and I believe it was worth every bit, especially since he spent probably 90 minutes of his time here. It's good to know that these professionals exist and if we ever have issues with our other appliances, I'll know who to call first. Thanks!

Mahmud was knowledgeable, polite, and efficient. I would definitely recommend SimpleFix Appliance Repair.

I'm probably one of the most difficult people to please. I'm not proud of this but my past was in…read morethe restaurant business. Letting repair people into my home psychologically is not easy. Most think the homeowners are not knowledgeable and we aren't, otherwise we would fix it ourselves. However, we have everything else you need to be a judge of a clean, knowledgeable, honest, and efficient repair person. Marian's first visit was to vacuum out our Thermador refrigerator and garage fridge. I wasn't in the mood to meet him but my husband told me how he worked. I liked what I heard. About 2 weeks later the heavier door on the Thermador fridge slumped. To be honest, it wasn't to my satisfaction brand new, the door was sticking out a little but after a remodel of the entire home, one gets burnt out. Marian fixed the door better than the brand new one installed and showed us why and how the problem happened. The stove he changed the lights effectively and fast. Then the big question came from me, can you take the oven door off and take it apart to be cleaned? I've asked 2 other appliance companies if they could but they said it takes a long time and is not easy. Then I said, I can make a new appointment for this for you to come back. He said, he could fix it now. My oven door has 3 glasses. To watch him take off the door and apart was pretty amazing because of his calm, perfected work speed and stress-free demeanor. We all know talent when we see it. I think by now, I told him 3 times how happy I was, and thank you too. Lastly, if you are wise enough to call him for help then you must have done many great things in life to get him. Also, YES his prices are well thought out and fair and reasonable. If you are the kind of person who tries to get a lower price from businesses, don't call because you don't deserve him.

Our 9-year-old dishwasher has a new lease on life! Overall: The whole process, from the initial response to the completed repair, was easy and professional. Alex was courteous, knowledgeable, thorough, and efficient, and he kept the work area extremely clean. We'll definitely save Alex's contact info for future appliance repairs. TL;DR - This is a great review for Joy Appliance Repair and a terrible review for Thermador's…read morecustomer service. Joy Appliance Repair fixed the faulty fan of our built-in Thermador refrigerator (the defroster stopped working and the fan broke). Joyo, the owner, was very responsive in providing us with an estimate, ordering the right parts, and completing the repair. This was not a cheap fix (I guess that's part of the price you pay for a built-in Thermador refrigerator), and time will tell if our refrigerator keeps running smoothly, but we're grateful for Joyo's service and experience. Joyo is knowledgeable about Thermador's products, design, and manufacturing. If you have a Thermador, don't bother calling their service line - just call Joy Appliance Repair and get your fridge fixed. When our Thermador refrigerator started making rumbling noises, we knew something wasn't right. We suspected the fan was failing because the bottom drawer compartment was no longer feeling cold to the touch. After calling Thermador's service line and being told nonchalantly, "it's probably the fan freezing over" and "no way will your fridge die on you", we scheduled a service appointment with a Thermador technician (the earliest appointment was a week out). Lo and behold, 48 hours after that service call, our fridge stopped making noises - because it had stopped working altogether. Another call into the Thermador service line was met with total apathy, so we threw out all the food in the fridge and hung our hopes on our scheduled Thermador technician visit. Fast forward to the day of our appointment, and the technician cancels at the last minute, one hour into our arrival window. Customer service does not care - they simply reschedule us, this time two weeks out. At this point, we've purchased an emergency mini fridge, and we're scrolling through Yelp reviews in search of a refrigeration repair person who's familiar with Thermador and won't flake out on us. In comes Joy Appliance Repair to the rescue - Joyo examined our fridge, explained to us exactly what happened with the fan (apparently it's a known issue with this Thermador model), and laid out a plan for obtaining the parts and completing the repair. It took a few days for him to get the right parts and about 2 hours for the repair itself. His pricing was upfront and transparent, and we appreciated his clear and prompt communication. We won't hesitate to call on Joyo again if we experience issues with our Thermador appliances (fingers crossed we don't)!
