This is one of my favorite haunts from the days when I lived in Madrid. It's a little neighborhood place that has a nice selection of wine and beer, and tapas, of course.
Cazorla is especially known for its battered and fried seafood; the shrimp are especially good. I also have enjoyed the tuna salad -- which is very fresh -- and the garlicky gazpacho.
They don't speak English here, so be prepared to order in Spanish. Come early, because the place gets very crowded -- standing room only -- in the evenings. The crowd is very kind and convivial, and even if you don't speak English, wine is an international language, so you'll get along just fine. read more
