Overall: 3.7 stars Kind of hidden in plain sight, The King Barber and Salon is in Jackson Plaza in between Aaron's and Wingstop, and just west of Chili's Restaurant. The barber I was going to quit and I needed a new barber. I tried this place based on reviews. I signed in and requested Lupe because others recommended him for beards. I had just missed him, so I went with JT who recently transferred from another barber shop. I entered, signed in and waited in full view of three employees (not including JT), and no one acknowledged my presence for at least 10 minutes. One barber finished the client he was with and left. After a few more minutes JT, whose station was out of my line of sight finished with his client and came around to the front. Seeing my name, he called me to his station. I showed JT pictures of what I wanted, and he delivered. He was pleasant and efficient. He gave me both a haircut and redefined my beard. I am happy with the results, and so is my wife. He listened, understood and gave me what I requested. JT's service was just fine. I gave the business as a whole only 2 stars for customer service because of not being acknowledged for so long. A quick, "welcome, someone will be with you in a few moments," would have been nice. Clients include men, women and children. So it's family friendly. A TV is on the wall near the waiting area.
