Came here for the first time ever & oh it was wonderful! So beautiful & whimsical!!! I loved the performances! The horses were pretty. Mostly white horses they had but it was like a dream. It's amazing how they can train the horses to do things and sometimes some of the horses don't want to corroborate but they help the horse to stay focus. They must train really hard for the performances and etc. it's amazing what they can do! There's aerobics, lovely music, horses & beautiful performances. Also the music is played live with the guitar, violin & the singing(I believe). The seats were really good better then concert seating with much more room. Any where you sit you have a great view. If you do sit all the way in the front you might get wet. Also they had bathrooms outside. They did have some portable bathrooms but they also had a trailer which was really nice bathrooms, with a sink inside. Bought tickets on Groupon. Saved a few bucks. Also you do have to pay for parking, it's $15. Definitely worth coming to see this show! read more

Total promoter/management fail.. we try to get the VIP tickets every time Cavalia is in town. Every year it seems the VIP experience is watered down. This year was a total disappointment. We ended up waiting outside in cold, rainy weather because the powers that be decided to add 200 VIP seats but didn't plan for it! Due to scheduling conflicts we could not return another night, so we were stuck waiting in line as we watched the General Admission folks walk right in. Once inside the VIP tent, and finally receiving your VIP lanyard, there were more lines for the bars and buffet. So why the 5 star rating? Because the show is spectacular!! To witness these beautiful animals and so talented individuals perform is like slowly watching a memorable dream unfold... I have to agree with past reviews, and can't really add to the awe you will experience during the performance.. As if the performance is not enough, there is live music all around. Phenomenal voices, gifted musicians, matching mood lighting.. truly a wonderful evening.. So , In closing, someone at Cavalia needs to review the VIP experience. Don't let a black eye slowly be the one thing that attendees share with everyone else. If I was one of the 200 people who ended up paying VIP prices for seats that were GA before only to wait in the cold rain, I'd be really upset.. unfortunately, I was one of the poor saps that purchased 4 prime seats months ago. Truly, an awesome experience! The show was a dazzling performance in beauty and grace. Well, worth the ticket price ($69 to $200+. + the cost of parking, $15, program, $15, souvenirs, varies, concessions, varies. For me alone, the cost was $221. So, probably not the best venue for the cost-conscious person). For me, I had decided at the last moment to see the show. I got there about 25 minutes before the show started (unlike others, parking wasn't an issue) to buy my ticket. However, why I really can't give it 5 Stars is because when one pays in excess of a certain dollar amount, the program should be included in the price. And, $5 for a bottled water, the concessions have a racket going on for sure. Also, when I bought my ticket, I had to pay for Parking at any register, instead of when I purchased my ticket (for those who try to get in w/o paying, they will catch you going out). read more

What a great show! Wasn't what I had expected and the show continued to push the bar. There was all sorts of dancing, singing, performances, horse routines and so much more. The area is pretty small, I don't think there would be a bad seat in the house. We seat in section 6, first row AA, it was the same pricing as numerous top rows and was great. Again, not a bad seat though. The parking was extremely different, you park, go in and must buy a parking pass once in the show... they give you a voucher, which you give to security as leaving... this really congests everyone trying to leave and can take up to 45 minutes just to get out. Don't go there thirsty, a small glass of wine is $14, beer is $8 and a can of soda $5. read more

Amazing. Fantastic. Beautiful. Incredibly emotional. Horses so engagingly mesmerizing I wanted to get up from my VIP seat and just run down to the arena and ride bareback along with them all! The opening of the show (I won't describe it because I don't wish to spoil this experience for those who haven't seen it yet!) was so packed with memories of my own Arab horse and other horses I'd owned over the years, and the immense joy and love these wonderful, potent, yet oh so gentle animals give us, that I was unashamedly crying...and when this first phase of "Odysseo" ended I clapped so enthusiastically my plastic cup of red wine splahed all over me and unfortunately on my next seat neighbor!! Lucky him I wore the brunt of this accident, on my pale blue T-shirt with a painted Arabian horse's head I had just bought at the recent Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show. Did I mention I adore Arab horses, no? Well now you know! Btw, Arab is correct but Arabian is more commonly used here in the US; I call them Arab and get snobby-weird looks from the horsey set, but in Europe - where I spent 30 years - they are Arabs. Odysseo lives up to its name : a journey through time and cultures, magically told with unbridled, unsaddled horses and graceful, strong riders and music played with feeling and Italian language lyrics. I would spend a lifetime immersed in this show and among these creatures, but alas, the lights come on and as all wondrous things the show ends. Standing ovations have us all clapping our hands red, clapping loudly, happily; then, for those of us with VIP tickets, the honor of a tour of the stables. We get a chance to see, but not touch, although I would've loved to feel the warm breath from a horse's nostrils, these incredible animals who gave us such a fantastic show and worked so amazingly well together!! Most are geldings, but there are several stallions, too, and absolutely no mares: that would cause an untold number of problems as anyone around horses can tell you. The horses and the artists truly are bonded, it's amazing to watch them work together in such harmony, tranquility and trust. I would spend days immersed in this atmosphere! Enjoy this wonderful show, it's a great adventure and something you will treasure for a long, long time. read more

When I saw the original Cavalia nearly four years ago, it was like nothing I had ever experienced. Odysseo raised the bar to an entirely new level. Odysseo is staged in an enormous tent (the largest of its kind!) which includes amphitheater type seating, a stage/arena area that is larger than a hockey rink and a video display larger than three IMAX screens. Impressive. Well, impressive until you see the horses. From the moment the music started and the lights came up, my breath was taken away. Horses and performers interacting. Running, jumping and playing. Many of the acts featured horses without any sort of restraint, demonstrating the remarkable love and trust between horse and trainer. At one time, there were 30 horses on the 'stage' area at once. All moving in synchronized groups of three or four, guided only by their focus on the trainer's cues - words and gentle touches. Spectacular. As if all of that weren't enough, Odysseo dazzled with live musicians and vocalists, dancers, acrobats and trick riders. So many talented people all under one big top! If you are on the fence about seeing either Cavalia or Odysseo (let's be honest, the tickets aren't inexpensive) GO! The show started promptly at a visually beautiful engineered stage. It was also accompanied by equally beautiful live music and songs. Like my friend told me, the show is like Cirque Du Soleil with horses. I was satisfied just watching the gorgeous horses, but the show also displayed not only talented acrobats, it also demonstrated great trusts between humans and horses. Spectacular. Unreal at times. Beyond beautiful. Flawless. It was nearly 3 hours of human and animal talent, devotion and class. I've seen many shows (Vegas, Son et Lumières in France, theatre in NY) since the mid-80's and this is many times better than all of them! It was so gorgeous to watch that you had to remind yourself it was actually real. At times, the white horses looked like unicorns flying around! And, no, they didn't dress them up as unicorns! I'm just saying it was almost magical! Any review offering fewer than 5 stars is sad. They obviously don't recognize or appreciate talent or beauty. Everyone keeps comparing it to Cirque shows because of its producer but it is 5 times better than any of the Cirque shows because, unlike those, Cavalia isn't repetitive for the whole show. It offers something new every 5 minutes. Yes, when a performer comes in to the arena to show what his/her leadership can do with several horses simultaneously, it takes a minute or two to get them in order so when reviewers say it's boring when a guy walks around staring at his horses it's because they're huge, live animals with personality! It's still fascinating to watch a performer get 10 or 12 or 15 horses to follow his lead. I would argue you don't even have to love horses to enjoy this production. The sets, illusions, dancers, flooding, music, gigantic screens, and acrobats were so superior, this show will surely please anyone with any appreciation for the arts. It was flawless! read more

Great show but Parking is a disaster! For one they suggest you buy parking on line with tickets and then parking is free. Then when exiting they have NO exit plan. Sat for 30 min and didn't move. Took over an hour to get out of parking lot! Guys come on. Great show but fix this. read more

The Cavalia show was amazing. Second time for me and this year way out did previous performance. HOWEVER, the parking situation put a damper on the whole night. Took 45 minutes to get out of the dirt lot. You pay upon exiting. Never head of anything so insane. I will think twice about going back another year unless the parking situation changes. Eh, this is a pretty good show. The music, lighting, and scenery are what stuck out to me throughout this show and the horses/trainers were secondary. The horses were feelin' some type of way during the show and would go off to do their own thing, so the show had the feel of when some street kids put on a show with the neighborhood dog and he's just not obedient because he is pretty much a wild animal, WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT?? Anyways, don't bother parking in the lot, just catch a cheap uber from Tempe Marketplace or walk it, it is honestly a stone's throw from Marketplace and a 15 minute walk. Also, when buying tickets online, just go for the great seats, there were absolutely no "obstructions" that I saw from the inside, every seat is a good seat honestly. Bring your own drinks and snacks since they don't search bags, or you'll end up paying an arm and a leg onsite for food. I think this is a good show to see at least once, great for bringing a date or a family member to make them feel special for a night. read more

Let's just start this off simple. $290 to watch horses do what horses do. You could basically see this at any equestrian event. Nothing they do is special for the most part. The entire setup is kind of a joke. They charge outrageous prices for everything and even charge you $15 to park in a dirt mud lot. There is literally just nothing about this that was worth the money. I would never ever do this again. I am upset that I paid for it one time. read more

Went to Cavalia Odysseo this past saturday as I had heard it was and amazing show and without a doubt it is AMAZING. The horses are beautiful and they perform with such ease you can tell they enjoy what they are doing. The visual effect are impressive and the music is live and it is wonderful as are all the performers in the show, from the men and women riding the horses, to the acrobats in stilts, aerialist, and the West African group. The stage is so impressive with the huge video screen backdrop, the carrousel coming down from the ceiling, and the floor filled with water for the spectacular finale. This was pretty awesome! First, don't get the most expensive seats. There is not a bad seat in the place. The "side" ones are not that far over and the slant to the seats make it so you can see from any of them well. The parking is $15, you need to go to a cashier and buy a voucher to get out of the parking lot. Everything is very expensive and that is the only reason why 4 stars and not 5. It is close to a Vegas show but at these prices, it isn't something you can just go do lightly. The show itself has a lot of different elements. The horses, gymnasts and drumming. Live music and singing accompany the whole show. Worth going to if you can afford the tickets! read more

My boyfriend and I were lucky enough to receive tickets for Cavalia for Christmas. This show was beautiful! The amount of training that they do with the horses is evident. The riders are great at what they do. I really liked how they utilize the 'stage' space with the curtains and lighting. The costumes are beautiful and look mesmerizing flowing behind the riders. My favorite parts, however, were the acrobats, the carousel, and the aerial dancing. It's a great show. Very pricey but it's worth it to see at least once. read more

This show is a rip-off! And I would like to get some of my $200.00 back! This show was nothing like the TV commercial's that we see all the time. Half of the show was shirtless guys beating drums to African music. The horses have such a small space to work in, that can't even run at full speed. Just a lope or gallop. Must of time the horses aren't even doing anything but walking around. And I paid for this! I have seen much better trick riding at rodeos too. So disappointed. Then at the end they had to put up some liberal agenda about anti-war. Really? I can not stress enough how disappointed I was in this boring show, that I almost fell asleep in. Awesome show with top performers. The whole experience was sublime. Especially good if you love horses.

The show it self was very good, my complaints are more with the management, we purchased VIP TICKETS at a cost off $590 for my wife and I, when we went four years ago we also had VIP tickets, when we went this time we had to pay $15 for the parking last time $0, this time we were given 4 tickets each for beer or wine the wine glasses were very small, last time you could get all the wine you wanted! The food was pretty good as were deserts at intermission. The exit from the parking lot was badly organized this is why I'm giving my rating at 4 which if I could would be 3 1/2 because of the cutbacks on the wine, the parking charge it should be free for VIP ticket holders and the chaos leaving the parking lot. read more

Saw Odyesseo last night! Simply amazing!! Beautiful horses, performers, music. And it's not all horses...the aerobic, acrobatic dance and music just made it awe-inspiring! One note...stadium like seating can be VERY uncomfortable. Bring a seat cushion!!! read more

Incredible show weaving together singing, cirque performances and 40+ majestic horses displaying breathtaking skill and beauty. Definitely a must see show. TIPS for a pleasant experience: use UBER or LYFT and avoid the complete nightmare of a parking situation. Much worse than previous years. For VIP, arrive very EARLY to avoid a very long line getting in or plan to eat 15 minutes before the show. An employee told me the massive congestion in the VIP tent this year is due to them selling 200 more VIP tickets per show but the organizers clearly didn't plan for the extra people. There is a hidden EXTRA ROOM in the back of the VIP tent for extra seating but it's colder in there so wear layers. After the show, WAIT in the VIP tent until the barns are open. We stood in a line for way too long in the cold (almost leading to a revolt by tired, cold, irritable, and uniformed folks) because no one told us that there would be a PA announcement when the barns opened and that a line wasn't necessary because everyone is allowed into the barns at the same time and you can walk through as leisurely as you please. Finally, beware of getting splashed or dirt/sand on you in the first two rows. They do hand out towels but a raincoat as a shield might work better. Enjoy one of the best shows and try to minimize your frustrations with the event organization with the above tips. read more

The only reason I gave it 3 stars was because of the parking totally Insane!!!! so first of all you get an email after you buy your tickets where you can pay for parking or even when you drive in to the parking lot they have signs every where saying you can pay for parking inside after they park you. Well you still have people that think they are not gonna pay and hold every one else up. Well they don't let you out of the parking lot with out proof of payment so it took us over 30 mins to get out of the parking lot even the car in front of us talked to the attendant for ever then the lady in the backseat of the car had to get out and try and find her purse In The trunk and pay for parking and taking her own sweet time... almost forgot no water in the bathrooms to flush the toilets or to wash your hand in the water in the bath from the beginning of the show to intermission(argh!!!) other then that I would give it 4 1/2 stars.. read more

My review is based on the show. It was fabulous, mesmerizing, beautiful, graceful, just a fantastic show. If anyone writes a bad review, they don't understand the work and trust of those horses and trainers. Let alone the talent of the gymnasts. WOW! To be able to train and have those horses perform, was truly awesome. These are large animals that require a lot of care and time. They nailed it. The acrobats were incredibly talented. It was so, so good!!!!!! I would see it over and over. The only down side was the cost of beverages. They went overboard there. Took advantage of guests a bit I would say. Parking and exiting were easy and fluid. If I could give it 10 stars I would. I have seen several Cirque Du Solei shows in Vegas, and this one was right up there with the best. read more

I don't know if my previous review had any impact or if they are just amazing. They invited a group from the Foundation for Blind Children. A group of children from FBC were invited to go meet, feed, and explore the horses and performers and on top of that were given toy horses and 4 free tickets to see the show. This was above and beyond!! Can't wait for the tickets my daughter is SOOO excited! They are AMAZING! read more
