Lydia, who was our primary contact, was incredibly pleasant, helpful and communicative throughout, both when we were first initially inquiring about their services, as well as when we were coordinating everything the last couple of weeks leading up to the big day. Additionally, she also helped put us in contact with a vocalist and pianist, whom also performed with them. They performed a beautiful mix of classic wedding and church songs, which is a testament to their versatile skill with both popular and religious music. I was initially indifferent when my wife suggested we have a string quartet for our outdoor wedding ceremony, but I am so glad I listened to her as we were able to seamlessly customize the tone of our ceremony to our music selection and transition from each portion of our ceremony smoothly! I only realize this after the fact, but you really have more creativity latitude with your ceremony when using a live performing group like Cattus Quartet. I recently went to a beautiful outdoor ceremony where the music was played from a stereo and the moment, the effect, the vibe was just not the same. My wife found Cattus Quartet off of Gigmasters and ultimately went with Lydia and her group not only because of their vast library of songs and affordable rate, but because they also donate a portion of their proceeds to animal welfare groups. Lydia was extremely easy to work with. For instance, I wanted to add some background music during my vows and was able to secretly coordinate that with Lydia. My wife also really wanted to walk up to Sweet Disposition by Temper Trap, but specifically wanted me to see her for the first time at a specific part in that song; Cattus Quartet made that happen without a hitch. They sounded great and added to the already beautiful ambiance of our ceremony site at Westlake Village Inn. If you are looking for a string quartet, go with Cattus Quartet. Everything was perfect. Communication was easy, song selections were great, the music was amazing. We had a brunch wedding reception last spring and every guest gushed about the atmosphere we created... But given that we had $250 worth of self-assembled flowers and no other decorations for our 60-guest wedding (venue was an old one-room schoolhouse with hardwood floors) - Cattus Quartet provided more than half of that ambiance that guests loved so much. Fantastic team of people and musicians. I booked a string quartet for our wedding September 2020, although the wedding got cancelled due to Covid I wanted to leave a glowing review about my experience with them. Firstly, Lydia is a dream to work with!! She is quick to respond, explained everything option and price, she made it really simple and easy for us. She sent a list of songs to choose which is extensive and varied aswell as the option for them to learn a new song if we wished. The process was so smooth and seamless and as someone planning their own wedding without a planner it was much appreciated. When I had to cancel due to Covid the team were fantastic and really helpful in providing options to suit. If/when we re-plan we will certainly be excited to call them again. Cattus Quartet was one of the easiest and most professional groups/vendors we worked with for our wedding! Lydia was lightning fast with information and responses! We wanted a string group that would play both contemporary and classical music for our outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour. They have a large library of songs to choose from on a website that is easy to follow and with music samples as well! This was extremely helpful in giving me confidence in their repertoire and in deciding which songs to pick! (One of my friends had even seen their version of Etta James' "At Last" on YouTube!) They are also able to arrange any requests for a nominal fee. I had them arrange Sigur Ros' Hoppipolla for the bridal processional, and it was beautiful! I think it's also really cool that they donate a portion of their proceeds to a cause they love. My only regret is that I did not get to hear/enjoy more of their music, as I was in a bit of a shock-like state during the ceremony, and we took pictures during the cocktail hour. First off, Cattus Quartet was really easy to communicate with. When our venue had a sudden date change for our wedding, they were more than happy to accommodate the changes. We also commissioned them to score a new song and they performed it beautifully during the ceremony! They have a large selection of songs already and their String Trio's performance elevated our wedding with grace and elegance that we were absolutely floored with! Our guests adored them. We hired Cattus to perform at our first company-wide event since the pandemic. They were the highlight of the night! They played punk/rock songs on string instruments and that definitely fit our audience of employees. I can't recommend this group highly enough. I heard them play at my friend's wedding, and their rendition of John Legend's All of Me as she walked down the aisle was so beautiful and moving. I recently hired the quartet for an an event at work and they were super responsive and helpful, always responding back to my emails within hours (or even minutes). On the day of the event, they all showed up early and were friendly and professional. What stood out to me was that they even staggered their breaks so that there was music continuously playing (duos playing during breaks). They told me later that they did this because people were dancing, and they did not want to interrupt the music. Talk about caring about the needs of your clients! We loved working with Cattus Quartet for our wedding this May. Their website makes it very easy to see their catalog of songs and the videos are also really helpful to hear their sound. We wanted a mix of contemporary and classic and they were very open to doing whatever we wanted. They even learned a new song for us (Such Great Heights) that we wanted to use for the bridal party entrance and did so very quickly, even figuring out the exact timing with us. Our guests really enjoyed having the music at the beginning of the ceremony and the cocktail hour (they especially enjoyed the Game of Thrones theme because the finale was the next day). We made the decision the hire a string trio for our wedding ceremony despite it being over our initial budget plan. I couldn't help myself...I played the cello for many years and just love a great in-person trio or quartet!
