The thing I care about most when it comes to cat cafes is whether the cats are healthy and happy, and they certainly are here! It's $15 for an hour of your time, and it's completely worth it to play with these cuties. Each had their own personality, so really anybody could love it here, whether you're looking to pet, play with, or just chill with cats. This was an amazing experience! 3.5 stars I've been wanting to come here for awhile. At first, it wasn't quite what I had expected. I got there right at opening so there were several large parties with kids that came in. Some of the kids were chasing the cats around and trying to get them to play even though clearly the cats were shy/ stressed with that many kids being around. You pay by the hour ($14) or for younger kids can have a half hour session and can bring your own treats in. I don't mind paying the fee knowing that it goes towards helping out the cats. Someone came in to adopt a few kittens during that time. They had packaged snacks, a unique variety of bottled drinks, coffee, tea, cider, and hot chocolate for sale. Towards the end of my session, all of the parties seemed to leave at once leaving me alone with just the cats. I wasn't sure what I was expecting coming here, but the cafe aspect wasn't a ton of options. I didn't realize it when bringing my son here. I appreciate the kids rate, my son probably couldn't be more than 30 minutes anyway. We got some bottled drinks, played with cats, and went on our way. You must reserve a time slot in advance online, or by calling in to schedule with the number of people in your party ...(there is a max of 8 people per time slot....Ages 8+ only!!) There is an opportunity for walk ins but only if they have the number of slots available at the time. Admission is $8 + tax per person for appx. an hour. There were 14 cats there at the time, all available for adoption, so cool!! It's a cat lovers paradise, every cat toy and nook 'n' cranny you can imagine including a cat bridge!! This place is a fine location to see cats, and pass a short amount of time. I was dissappointed with the staff as they seem inattentive to the people who actually are interested in adoption. I was not treated with any respect though I was intending to find a cat to adopt; but with my teenage sons with me, there was no one able to assist with questions I had and it was too busy to even get time with the cats. You must pay $10 admission to get in. There are a few prepackaged snacks and drinks. The main attraction is visiting the cats. I don't recommend picking one up. The cats are not in favor of that. The cats love playing with toys though. I had the best time "fishing" for cats. The cats had fun too. There are wonderful wall shelves and it is a delight to watch the cats climb all over. Having never been to a cat cafe, this was a fun experience with my friend. We both enjoyed relaxing for a long time, watching and playing with the cats. Since they'd had a lot of people there before we arrived, so we were told by an employee, the cats weren't that interested in our attention though, and many of them stayed in the back room for most of our visit. The atmosphere feels more cat store/shelter than cafe, with basic public building (like at a school) type floors, lighting and tables. I would have liked a real coffeeshop feel with plush chairs and couches, nicer lighting, etc. The food service is very basic also, as nothing is made or really prepared much in-house. We basically stayed because there were cats and so we could keep talking. I suggest to make it more inviting for humans too. But a unique, enjoyable experience all the same, and got to support some cats. As far as the purpose of it to adopt a cat, I think it's a great idea. I'd feel a lot more confident in such a big decision after hanging out with a cat for a good while, rather than the short visits often given with an employee in a small room at a pet store or shelter (unless it's different at those places than I'm thinking). We talked with a couple deciding on one, which was neat. Also, be advised that if you do come at a busy time, you may not be let in the door, as they limit capacity at a time. The kittens, young adult cats, and even senior kitties are all given high-quality enrichment opportunities that help keep both their bodies and minds active, while also catering to every cat's innate need for luxurious comfort. The attention to cleaning details is by far the most meticulous I've seen in an area that houses adoptable animals- there is absolutely no odor of feces/urine and the owner is fastidious about disease prevention. Every single cat I have encountered there had clean eyes, ears and absolutely no signs of skin, digestive or respiratory illness. This is a lot harder than most people realize- cats are experts at passing viral illnesses in closed quarters and it takes a lot of work to keep them healthy. Cute place to go if you love cats or if you have kids that love cats. The basic concept is that it's a place for cats to be adopted and you get to play with them and have a snack while you hang out. I like the idea a lot and I love that I can support the animals while having a day out. It's a really trendy idea but it's still super cute. Pros-the place was pretty, comfortable with various types of seating (tables, couches, etc), and clean. The staff is VERY nice and friendly. They explain everything to you and welcome you and were great with my kids. They also have games you can play that are typically cat themed and a little scavenger hunt kids can do as well at the front desk. I loved these interactive ideas and totally didn't expect to see them. Also they had tons of cool toys and climbing structures for the cats. My kids and I loved finding cats hidden all over and we loved getting the toys out to play with them. With that said, it can be pricey just to get in, especially if you're a family. It is $5 per person regardless of age, so the price just to get in adds up quick. Also, the cafe aspect of the place isn't that great. For example, they brew coffee like you would at home in a k-cup or use instant stuff. And they sell pre-packaged goodies like refrigerated Starbucks, small packages of Cheez It or Sunchips etc, or you can buy a muffin or cookies but they are ALL vegan. I tried the blueberry lemon muffin and wasn't impressed (fyi I'm vegetarian so I am open to that kind of food, so I would imagine people that aren't used to vegan food would like it even less than I did). I had a good time and my kids enjoyed themselves immensely for sure. If they want me to visit more often though my recommendation to them would be 1. Maybe lower the price to get in for families (or maybe lower the price for children) and 2. Make it a legit cafe with great coffee/tea and homemade goodies. read more

Really cute place. I'm in love with the thought of a cat cafe in Albuquerque. The space is well organized and clean -- so don't be afraid to have a snack or a cup of coffee! And although the cats were sleeping when I visited, they had a lot of spaces to play and relax when they decided to come out. I think everyone was a bit overwhelmed with the media publicity (including the cats), so don't be disappointed if you come in and the cats are away napping by the end of the day. This is the worst cat cafe I've been to. They allow people to bring in small children who chase and torment the cats with no demonstration of the proper way to be around cats. And no policing the kids either. And yet I get scolded for tapping (gently) a cat picking a fight with another under my seat. And did I mention you pay to get in? This is such a cool place with an admirable mission! I would definitely suggest making a reservation before you go, I'm glad we did. Their main concern (and rightly so) is the well being of the cats, so they don't want the space to be too crowded and stressful. Every staff member we met was helpful and friendly. The owner is lovely, as well. The inside is very clean with a hand washing station out in the open for easy access. I brought my six year old twins and they wanted to move in! I love that there are games and puzzles to enjoy while watching the cats. They also let the girls do a scavenger hunt and had a prize for them at the end! I appreciate this establishment because while the kids and I love cats, we can't have them because my husband is allergic. Every animal lover should give this place a try! read more
