There are spaces to sit in the corner where you won't be disturbed. I had power outlets, free wifi and a comfortable seat. I was assure that they will do their best to get it for me. [It's not a guarantee but I appreciate the attempt]  While I was there, I saw the library had numerous of children's programs. From books, to movies to learning materials.  I also learned they have free movie days, dog therapy days, fun activities for everyone. These are just a few of the things they offer. Collegedale Public Library may look small, but it has so much to offer. For $1, you can have access to internet for 2 hours. For .10cents you can print a page. You can fax as well.  Overall, it's a great public library.

It's a nice vibe here because it's nestled right in the heart of the city. But, you can easily reach a huge greenway along the river, the art district, or walk across a long pedestrian bridge to shopping and parks. As a place to be a student, I found it to be pretty good overall. Now, with 25 years passing, I have no idea if the professors or education are like the past. But, I think the UT system does a decent job. I was well prepared for the future -- attending higher ranked graduate schools. UTC is what you make of it. Overall: Worth checking out if you want an urban campus that's not overwhelmingly big.

This was our first time in this bookstore and we were so excited. My husband, myself and our 2 boys…read morewent off to our different sections. We were the only ones in there and then two others joined us. I would NEVER suggest this but what I thought was random became really uncomfortable as a worker seemed to follow us in each room. My son was in one room, my little one in the kids section with me and my husband looking around. She just kept popping in and not asking if we needed help but just watching us. I didn't have a purse or a bag with me. I am darker and my husband and kids are lighter. I was going to brush it off when my little one went to pay for us books and then sat in the front room in the couch. It was just us and here she came again but sat down her laptop across from us. Now I am a mix of annoyed and pissed off. Would you like for us to spend money there or make us so uncomfortable we leave? My oldest picked up on it and asked what the deal was. I finally said out loud to my husband "why does she keep following us in every room?" I didn't want to make a scene so we went across the street and enjoyed some yummy goodies. I have no idea what that was about but that was the worst experience I've ever had in Chattanooga and we were from NYC. Please do better!'n

Great Park, Lots To Do…read more This is a great park for kids. Unique park with unique activities and them makes for a good day to play. Treehouse theme is cool and they have some good slides for the kiddos. There is also a walk at path that goes somewhere, but I have gone far down it yet. Across the road is a tank, helicopter and plane or so I am told as well. Parking can be tricky on a weekend as it gets packed and a spaces are limited. Nice park with mostly friendly people.

They have one pavilion that has picnic tables so if it isn't rented out you can use. There are a few benches near the park but on a hot day shade is minimal. I like that they have a variety of climbing objects, plenty of swings, including the two in one where you can have a baby in a baby swing while you're in a adult one. It's a decent sized playground so plus the parking situation is pretty good. Not too hard to find parking.
