We have had the same hygienist the last year or so and she is amazing, friendly and very gentle. on my last visit a month ago and my daughters visit she had today we had a different hygienist. To say she was the exact opposite would be a understatemen. There was no conversation, a lot of pain and blood, overall experience was terrible for both of us. I will be requesting the other one and if she isn't available we will wait til she is or may have to go elsewhere. It is crazy the drastic difference and how it can ruin your experience with a office.

I don't know why they cannot seem to get the fitting right on the dentures and for months I have to go completely toothless and as anyone knows that is so embarrassing. At the same time I was dealing with my mother's death and had to speak with doctors and professionals with no teeth in my head. It was a very traumatic experience. And it is actually changed my life. My depression and anxiety has pretty much made me a recluse. I can't stand to be seen in public or even look at myself in the mirror because I still do not have a set of dentures that I can wear. They won't even stay in my mouth and they are so uncomfortable they give me major headaches. I went to so many appointments with them getting it wrong that I finally just gave up and was stuck with a very inadequate pair. I really wish that they would have explained the process to me better before I decided to go that route. They hardly explained anything. They so no compassion or even apologize for my situation. It's my opinion that you stay as far away from this so-called dental clinic as possible.

She wanted to extract my tooth which had healthy roots and put a bridge on three of my teeth costing me more than $3000. Another clinic did a core build up, put a crown and saved my tooth for at least 20 more years. Extracting a tooth is the worst decision in your life and it should not be extracted if it has healthy roots. Never let these money motivated doctors take your money and ruin your mouth. Grew up with a dentist in Houston that was great and called out cavities on the rest of my family every couple years - me... never. Moved to OKC and go to Mustang north. They tell me I have THIRTEEN and need to get them fixed asap. I freak out because it's a couple grand. Send my X-rays to two different dental offices for their opinions. Both said "uhh we'd keep an eye on two or three of these spots but wouldn't call any of it a cavity/fill anything in." Mustang north did an excellent and reasonably priced wisdom teeth removal for me. But I will never have them clean and care for my teeth again.

Now keep in mind that this young man has never had a cavity. His last dental visit was around June 2022 at the Okaloosa County Health Department in Florida. He left with a clean bill of health. We returned to the Newcastle Dental Group on January 23, 2023, to fill one quadrant of the worst cavities highlighted by the dental assistant. Going from zero cavities to twelve cavities in roughly six months would naturally raise a red flag with any concerned parent. My wife and I spoke more about the situation and decided to have a second opinion. We chose to visit Dr. James Cox, D.D.S., in Newcastle. Dr. Cox's finding was documented as locating eight small cavities, four of which were compared to the initial x-rays taken by the Newcastle Dental Group, where he validated the four filled by the Newcastle Dental Group were cavities, and he had four additional cavities totaling eight not twelve. All the cavities are about the size of an ink pen tip. On the 22nd of March, we returned to the Newcastle Dental Group to have the remaining four fillings repaired. I informed the receptionist of Dr. Cox's findings, as he gave us a second opinion on the situation. I gave the receptionist the list of the four teeth that required repair. She gave the list to the dentist while the patient was in the chair. Minutes later, he was escorted back to the waiting room where we were told since we received a second opinion and questioned her diagnosis, "we should take him elsewhere." The hygienist told me the dentist told her she "will not go off of any other dentists' recommendations." Dr. Cox verified the same teeth she did, although he did say four of the teeth, she initially said had cavitied in fact did not have anything wrong with them. Any medical professional who maintains a reputable practice should, and without question, adhere to a higher ethical standard of conduct and welcome a second opinion from a fellow physician in the same field. This would only strengthen the patient's trust in their current physician. It has become apparent that her ethical values as a licensed medical professional are in question as she attempted physically alter teeth that did not require attention. Additionally, I personally spoke to three individuals. One current employee of the Newcastle Dental Group told me she is a "very aggressive dentist." The expression on her face and the way she said it, as she told me a lot. Clearly, she knew something was going on that was dishonest within that office. Anyone who is looking for a dentist, be very cautious of this provider.
