Very COVID-safe; Tony took extra care to follow all of the rules, including disinfectant, masking and everything one would expect. (& full disclosure--I waited till both my shots kicked in before going back to him.) Been going to Tony for many, many years, and am grateful for the best haircut in town at the best price.... Since so may of us are working from home, presenting the best possible Zoom-appearance is important, and Tony's contribution to that is no small matter. As previous reviews have noted, just let him roll with his thoughts on the world--I'll take 30 minutes of that over the blathering talking heads on cable anytime. (Hey, this is DC; wouldn't surprise me if some of those gasbags get their material from Tony anyway). Seriously, a small but important step towards normalcy AND another way to support a small business during these tough times. Get your shot, then go get your haircut ! PS: his prices are dirt cheap--tip him well.

Better & less expensive...a winning combination…read more When you move, one of the things you need to do is find a good barber. It's easy to overlook, but it's a very true statement. I had tried a few places since relocating from the shangri-la of Philadelphia; none of which were that bad (but not great either), all of which were expensive. I mean like 2-3x what I paid in the 215th. $70 for a clipper cut...come on, fam. So, I was still on the lookout for the Bethesdan home base. I saw Sinatra's situated right across the street from one of my Bethesda favs, The Writer's Center, and thought I'd give that a try next. It was a good call. The space is clean, and professionally put together. Check. I was getting ye ol' tighten up from "Q". Star Trek reference, I think not. Super chill. Super professional. Didn't rush through the job, and it was (and is) an excellent cut. With a men's haircut you also get a wash...from a most expert washer. It was more like a dang head massage...awesome. (Btw, tip your washer). And if you need a cherry on top, they were spinning some old school hip-hop. All of this brought me to $50 (plus tip). Sinatra's, for me, is an absolute no brainer. I will most definitely be a return customer. Maybe I'll see ya there!

To my surprise I found a wonderful, "real deal" Italian barber right here under my nose. How have I missed this for so long?. He has taken great care, and given great haircuts ever since. Clean, locally owned, no-nonsense shop. High quality work, too. Ernesto handles the men, and the lady (don't have her name, yet) takes care of the ladies. Don't bother with chain / franchise shops, the real thing is right here.......

How wonderful it is to go to a barber and get exactly what you ask for. My friend has been going…read morehere for years ever since he was at AU. He had been urging me to come here for a long time as he has suffered through hearing about my growing dissatisfaction with my usual barbershop in Ballston for some time. I arrived around 2:30 (after what I am told is often the crowded lunch rush period). I was immediately asked to sit down. I told the guy what I wanted and he did exactly that. There were no inappropriate questions or side comments. He just went to work, did his job, and gave me exactly what I asked for which seems pretty hard to get in this town for some reason. I have often had the experience at other places where they cut my hair too short on the top so as soon as the sides grow (which takes about four days) it doesn't look right. Now this is fine if you want an extremely short hair and don't mind going in to get it cut every seven days, but I am no longer content with that. So I was just overjoyed when the guy who cut my hair did exactly what I asked for which was just simply to give me a one on the sides but leave the length on the top and in the front. The hair cut only took about twenty minutes and was only fifteen dollars plus tip. I look forward to coming back here to get an uncomplicated hair cut that is what I ask for at a fair price with friendly efficient service.
