She gives off that genuine "nice person" vibe that is usually reserved for kindergarten teachers. I hired her as a day-of coordinator, but honestly feel that she far exceeded any personal expectations and contractual obligations. I was planning the wedding from a distance, so I didn't have the opportunity to take care of most details until I arrived in California. We wanted a small wedding with an ocean view and decided on the Moonlight Beach overlook. Since this was a park, there was no catering or other on site services. I bought a groupon with the expectation of having someone set up and tear down the wedding. Krystyna and I communicated via email and phone. I can't imagine what a pain I was to work with. Not because I wanted things a certain way, but because I hadn't made any decisions and didn't until the very last minute. Somehow, she managed to coordinate and help me plan the event. She would send out a worksheet for me to fill in some details. I can't tell you how many times I put "maybe" or "not sure" in as an answer. It didn't phase her at all. I didn't even pick a layout for the chairs until two days before. She was patient, provided me with options, and was the nicest person you can imagine through the whole thing. I wouldn't say my fiancee and I were cheap or had a specific budget, but our goal was to spend as little money as possible but still have a nice wedding. Rather than get a florist, I purchased all the flowers from Costco and other wholesalers. I found out I'm not very good at arranging flowers. Krystyna however, is great at creating floral arrangements! Not only did she fix my lop-sided overpacked mason jars, she made some absolutely beautiful arrangements for the chuppah. I had so many compliments on that alone! The amount of time she put in as a day of coordinator was surprising. I think of all the time with emails, calls, a walk through with my mother in law, and then a walk through with my husband and I the day before. My mother in law commented immediately after she met Krystyna saying "You guys made a really good in your wedding planner". She was very impressed! Overall, Krystna was on site from 7 am until 5 pm. She made sure all items were picked up or dropped off, set up appropriately, The food, flowers, chairs, tables, linens, favors, cake, plates, etc etc were all set up exactly as we requested. She had a helper with her who was also professional, polite, and fun.The entire day was perfect and I know that Krystyna is the reason it all went so smoothly.

We cannot thank Sassafras Events enough for the outstanding work they put into our wedding. They…read morewere there with us from the beginning- I wasn't someone who'd had my dream wedding already planned out. I didn't have a clear vision yet of a theme, style, venue, or even type of gown that I'd wanted. I went to sassafras events with only one thing I was positive about; I wanted to be surrounded by nature and the outdoors when I was married. To expand on that note, Tamara introduced me to Pinterest! It was the absolute best way to get a visual of the ideas I had surrounding our wedding. I spent time exploring, being inspired and pinning things both my husband I were excited about. Tamara was able to look at those and determine, spot on, a theme that we both loved. Tamara can do it all! She was there with me and my bridesmaids when I picked out my wedding gown - it only took 3 dresses to find the one :) She had vendors lined up, had all the research done on them and was able to find great fits for us. She was on top of it when it came to money management and stayed well within our set budget for the wedding. I was a hands on, DIY bride. Sassafras Events offered multiple workshops that allowed my friends, family and I to bond over crafting. We painted crates, wedding signs & mason jars, created a Mr. & Mrs. pennant, made escort and table cards, folded paper flowers, sewed pillows, and even designed our own floral arrangements. These workshops gave us time to complete wedding projects and also have a ton of fun with everyone that was there. During the wedding planning process, my husband was finishing up his last year of Law School and then studying day and night for the BAR exam. Needless to say, he did not have a whole lot of time to help with things wedding related. Sassafras Events made sure to keep him as involved as they could with his time limitations. They stepped in and created a loving and less stressful environment for us. They did a flawless job on coordination the day of the wedding- the only things we needed to worry about were to make sure we ate, got dressed and showed up to the venue. All vendor questions went to Sassafras staff, and there was a clear point person on the big day that handled any hiccups that came along the way. So again, we owe many, many thanks to Tamara Williams and her staff at Sassafras Events for the spectacular work done! We would happily recommend them to everyone we know :)

At that moment I contacted Jennifer Event Designs. Jennifer has created many fabulous events for my family members, I knew she would make my party just as fabulous and awesome. From those two ideas she made my party everything I would have ever imagined and then some. GLITTER & GLAM! I had a caricature artist, wood fire pizza caterer, DJ, and luxurious lounge furniture like a Hollywood nightclub. Ms. Jackson's company did an outstanding job in planning and designing my birthday party. My wife and I spoke to Ms. Jackson about the theme of my party (Cigars, Cognac and Brims) and after she looked at the party location she laid out a cool, laid-back design for the party with lighting, colors, couches and a cigar lounge area that contributed to the "grown and sexy" environment I wanted. She was able to take my thoughts for the party theme and make them come alive, and my guests had a great time and are still talking about how much they enjoyed the design and layout months later.

I couldn't ask for anything more. We started the planning about a year before the wedding. Linda set up several meetings and made sure we were meeting our planning goals on time. She was great with working with our budget. She has great resources and advice on what to splurge on and what to cut out... and she was exactly right. Linda was awesome to work with, always helpful and calm, even with my bride freak-outs. I was hesitant to hire a wedding planner at first because of our wedding budget, but looking back, I honestly think we would have ended up spending more without Linda. She had so many resources that I would never have known about. Several of our vendors even gave us a discount because they were dealing with a professional and have done business with her before. The most calm I was during the whole wedding process was on my actual wedding day and that was because I knew everything was being taken care of by Linda. It was a HUGE relief to know I had someone I can trust and rely on to manage the day. ALL vendors dealt only with her so my wedding day wouldn't be interrupted by worrying about payments and where to set up. I did not worry about a single thing on my day and I thank Linda so much for that! Thank you for everything, Linda! Thank you for your creativity, advice, patience, honesty, & professionalism. You made my wedding so much more than I ever expected. My guests were so impressed. You are an amazing coordinator, and I hope to work with you again in the future.. maybe a baby shower? ;)

We had a bad experience with Tiffani, and would not recommend her to anyone. Although she's very…read moresweet and seems well-intentioned, her inability to effectively communicate with us and general inattentiveness became so extreme that we were forced to let her go months before the wedding and find someone else. She would promise things by a certain time (venue or catering options, schedules, etc), and then not deliver them. Emails and phone calls from us would regularly go unreturned, often for weeks. We were never given a timetable of any kind, despite asking. She was not proactive about checking up on us. Everything felt like pulling teeth. She presented options for venues, bakeries, etc without first checking if they met clear requirements that we had set forth. Ultimately we ended up finding everything ourselves through our own research and external recommendations. Through all this, we kept forgiving her, because she was juggling a new full-time job and her price was really good, and she was always very sweet. We kept giving her another chance, and on at least two occasions talked to her about being better about the communication. We understood that she was busy and some texts/emails aren't urgent, but after weeks would go by without her even bothering to say "Hey I'm really busy but I'll get back to you soon," and multiple attempts to reach her failed, we had lost confidence that she would be able to handle our wedding without us having to worry about it. We were already doing almost everything ourselves, and we really didn't want that as the wedding got closer. Eventually we had had enough and decided it wasn't working out. When we told her we no longer wished to use her services, she seemed oddly surprised, as if all of the times we'd raised our concerns with her and all the times she'd promised to do better had fallen on deaf ears. We then let her know that we wanted half of the money we'd paid her up front returned to us, and she just never wrote back. We tried again, and even got a lawyer involved, threatening her with small claims court. Absolutely no response whatsoever. It's a very, very odd situation, and I really can't even begin to think what was going on in her mind to behave this way. So no, under absolutely no circumstances would we ever recommend her. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
