They have been making house calls for our gang for several years. Are cats are healthier for the care and treatment they receive.

Westside Veterinary Hospital

I used to go to a vet on Airport Highway and every time I went I felt so uncomfortable, so my…read morefiance and I saw reviews for Westside Vet Hosp. There's nothing but raving reviews so we decided to switch all our animals. Dr. Albalakousy is AMAZING! We are 100% glad we switched and understand why there is no negative feedback! One of our kitties has a bad liver problem so we've been to Dr. A 3 times this year already. She's had to stay a week and then 2 check ups so far after. Chancy has been on 3 different meds daily, she needs to be force feed through a syringe multiple times a day, and now we have to give her an IV every other day. He made sure we knew what we were doing, were comfortable with what we had to do, and that we had everything we needed and then some. He takes great care of our animals and we feel like he REALLY cares. That's super important to us. And on top of that, he doesn't outrageously charge you! Just as an example of how he really cares: We were in an exam room but you can see right out into the waiting area and a dog walked in and immediately collapsed on the floor. Our cat has a problem but not a life and death problem, so he excused himself, and went to check on the dog. He carried her to the next exam room and started taking care of her immediately because she really needed the help. Now that is a vet that cares. He came back and apologized but why apologize for taking care of an animal more in need? It was great what he did and it made us feel better about how he treats the animals at the vet. :)

I still love Total Pet Care for their excellent boarding services and vet care but wanted to write…read morean update about how disappointed I am in the grooming my dog recently had. I have a 6 year old long haired dachshund who I have always groomed myself. I like to shave his hair short and then wash him well to make sure all the trimmed hair is off his body. I decided to have it done professionally for the first time and when I brought my dog home he kept rubbing against the sofa and lying on his back to rub himself almost all day for a week straight. These are things he's never done before. Thinking he was allergic to the shampoo used at the vet, I took him a bath at home and was shocked and infuriated at how much trimmed hair came off him. Did the groomer shave him and not give him a bath afterward or did she just give him a crappy bath? Once I cleaned him he no longer rubbed himself due to discomfort but he began chewing on his paw until it was raw. I had to take him to the vet who told me it was infact an allergic reaction so he gave my dog a cortisone shot and antibiotics. And this I paid for out of my own pocket without so much as a sorry from the staff. I will NEVER take my dog there again for grooming.

I have been treated like the enemy after years of paying in full at the time of service. I will…read moresave no more pets if this is the way I am going to be treated by veterinarians. Dr. Gary was so much more kind. Good luck to those who have service.
