My husband and I just love Dr Weller. She had taken phenomenal care of my sweet Murdocka for many years. She is very knowledgeable and professional. She loves cats and has so much compassion. Sometimes she needs to be bluntly honest at times. My sweet Murdocka blessed me for 19 years and was diagnosed with breast cancer. Unfortunately, that she couldn't beat. She had survived so many issues, keeping kidney issues and thyroid issues in control. Survived Pancreatitis and always a fighter. She was strong but tiny. Never got over 7 pounds during her lifetime. I give many thanks to the awesome and wonderful Dr Weller for her incredible care and compassion through the years. I give her all of the credit for giving my sweet girl the most excellent care throughout her life. It was the most difficult thing having to make the decision for my little girl to cross the Rainbow Bridge. Dr. Weller & her staff have looked after my cats for close to 15 years. I trust her her diagnosis and in 2017 I had to send my 16 and 18 year old across the Rainbow Bridge. They all were so good to me. I recently introduced 2 new additions to her & staff. Dr. Weller is honest, sometimes brutally honest, but I wouldn't want her any other way. She knows her stuff and I find her to be educational. She is assertive and one has to be when dealing with felines temperaments. She knows cats. I've recommended her to many friends and some take their cats to her now. The staff are always friendly and take great care with the cats and the hygiene of the rooms. The waiting room is welcoming with cleanliness, artwork, and cat photos. There's also ample parking even after zigzagging to get to the office - it's ok though. I have been going to Dr. Weller for over 10 years. I have and have had many cats over the years, and she has been phenomenal with all of them. She can be very gentle but she also understands that if a cat is upset, and you don't handle it firmly, someone is likely to get scratched very badly at a minimum and maybe bitten. She doesn't dance around the truth. If you have questions, she will answer them. A lot of times, she knows what's going on with the cat as soon as she sees them - especially if she has seen them before! I would and do recommend her to anyone who has cats! I've had problems with other vets where I felt my cats took second-priority to dogs that came in, or like I was just getting a "one-cat fits all" diagnosis. I never have to worry about this with The Cat Doctor since she specializes in cats. Having a vet that only sees cats also creates a relaxed environment for my cats to visit (no loud dogs running around barking at my cats) and I never feel like I'm being rushed. She offers a variety of treatment options for every budget and makes sure you're fully informed on exactly what's going on with your cat. The prices are a bit high I suppose but the books on cats who paint make up for it. Knowing what I know now, I might recommend stopping by the Ohio State Veterinary Hospital, but I don't think you can go wrong with the Cat Doctor. read more

After boarding my cat for just a few days I returned to a totally different cat, that appeared to be traumatized and had labored breathing which had nothing to do with the original diagnosis of kidney failure. I wish I still lived in the area so we could still have Dr. Weller as our veterinarian, she's excellent. We'd been with her over 12 years when we moved over 2 hours away. She was great with our cats and extremely helpful in knowing when it was time to let them go. I recently had a 12 year old cat with an injection site sarcoma, a result of an injection by my new vet, who referred the case to OSU Vet Oncology. They suggested very invasive surgery to remove the tumor and get clear margins. I was extremely scared about the surgery. I got worried about it and just stopped in to see if Dr. Weller would discuss it with me. She took 15 minutes out of her day to review and discuss the case, explain what she would have done and explained how OSU is cutting edge as it relates to this. She suggested I know the kidney blood and urinalysis levels before they proceed with any surgery. It was invaluable information that eased my mind substantially. I'm happy to report that the levels were great, the surgery is over and my kitty is recovering well. Without the great support and advice from Dr. Weller I'm not sure what I would have done. My 1 cat, I've had since I was 14 years old, and I am almost 30 now and he is my son, my brother, my best friend and my cosmic soul buddy. I completely trust this woman with him, whole-heartedly. She is very caring, extremely knowledgeable and gentle to my babies. I think their prices are the cheapest in town as well, compared to the other places I've been and the service is much more than just work to her - it's her passion. You will not be made uncomfortable in her presence and you will never see her inject anything into your cat without you knowing what it is, what it does, what it's for...unlike what I've experienced in a Canal Winchester vet facility, which was a total nightmare. She will educate you and allow you to hold and console your cat as she does what's needed to be done, also unlike the place in Canal Winchester.
