I just have to say how pleased I was with the care that my puppy got here. I can't say enough how…read morefriendly the staff was, they all fell in love with my puppy and treated her like a queen. They were so understanding of her needs and mine and took extra steps to help keep costs low. Dr. Christal was amazing and took such great and gentle care of my puppy when she was sick that it was more like a spa trip than a hospital trip and her after care instructions helped get my girl back to her goofy and playful self in only a couple days. This is going to be the future home of all my pet care needs.

A while ago we brought our bull mastiff in because she had a massive infection in her uterus. After…read morea while, "Dr Crystal" finally started to give us information. When the info was given to us, she was more worried about money. She held a interac fob in front of us like it was a dog toy. We were given options of surgery for our dog. It was going to cost just about $5000 with only a 50/50 chance of survival. She made it seem like they were the only vets that could do this surgery. Unless we went to the states to get it done. Then she held the interac fob in our faces. Then "Dr Crystal" told us that the other option was to put the dog down with a cost of $500 plus the cost of cremation. Then she continued to hold the interac fob in front of us. She made it seem like it was all about money. And not the health and surgery for our dog. They wouldn't even budge on the cost of surgery. "Dr. Crystal" forced us into putting our dog down. Our family dog. I'll never take or support this veterinarian or pet hospital again. Even after we put the dog down we were asked to see our dog one last time. After about 30 seconds...there was "Dr. Crystal" with her interac fob. Just waiting to get paid. It was disgusting on there attitudes and service. Totally disgusted with "Dr. Crystal". You should be ashamed.

As if you are a terrible person and not worthy of owning a pet you cannot afford it instead of vets overcharging passing judgment from an artificial moral high ground. charge Thousands for something you can cure at walmart for $10.59. and they 100% know it. My experience at Selkirk veterinary was brutal they force you to pay exorbitant fees and even more for "after hours" weekends if you cannot affords that they charge you as much to put your beloved pet down with a good dose of judgment and a delightful sympathy card. Pet owners are not he problem, Greedy veterinarians are and the new generation is so far from the old horse doctors as you can get. Its business your pet is a number how much they care depends on where the decimal point is located if you cannot afford their absurd fees you should not have pets. Its never they charge too much or demand 100% payment up front. Your pets a dollar sign to Selkirk vet. Worst experience Ive ever had with a vet and Ive had pets n livestock for 45+ years.
