I really wanted to give a good review. I turned to this company after reaching out to another and…read morenot getting a response. Three of us used this service for transport to/from the PHL airport. The initial conversation with Mike to set-up the transport was lengthier than it needed to be as he wanted to confirm and re-confirm every small detail. It took more than 30 minutes to make simple arrangements. When it was clear he was confused about the pick-up location, I offered to share a pin for the location but it was apparent he does not use a cell phone or a map app. Mike was not very professional on the phone. When he called the day before the transport to confirm everything, I missed the call and his VM was "What the hell is going on?" When I tried to call them on a later date, both lines were busy for 30 minutes in the middle of the day - not a good way to provide customer service. The driver was friendly, but her driving skills were questionable. She is elderly with a bad leg. When turning at one red light, she took the turn very wide and incredibly slow (as if she could not see the road well - it was dark). When traveling on I95, she drove erratically and crossed the lines. She also took the wrong exit for the airport but stayed to the left to get right back onto the highway, so no harm/no foul. The minivan smelled like cigarette smoke. The return trip was just as eventful. The same driver decided to get off the highway due to increased traffic but was unsure of her route and even asked us where she should go. (She had a cell phone but did not use it or any other device to navigate.) When we suggested the route to take, she responded with "I know! I know!' They were willing to modify the pick-up time after we were able to secure standy-by tickets on an earlier flight...so they were flexible. However, I will never use their service again and would not recommend it to anyone. The cost was neglibly less than other services and it is not worth the hassle.

On Tuesday last week I needed to be on time and I did my usual routine and got up an hour early to be sure I could snag a ride. First driver was 7 minutes out cool. 3 minutes later she cancelled. I got another one, 12 minutes still great. Guess what? Cancelled! I hit it right back and then seconds later he cancelled. Then there was no cars available after that. So now I was worried. I went to Google and the first few listings where either out of service or just did not pick up the line. I ordered another uber. and at this point and they informed me that they were operating at a 12x surge pricing. I was now in desperation I accepted this and ordered another car. Guess what, 4 minutes later he cancelled no reason given. I went on yelp and started calling one car service after another. Finally I called X-Cel Car Service and they were polite helpful and understanding. They sent me a new, clean smelling sedan. I cannot be more pleased with their service. I would highly recommend as a primary option if you would prefer a stress free commute.
