This is one of the nicest campgrounds I've stayed at! You can tell that this is a labor of love by the folks who own and operate it, and everyone who visits will know what I mean after one stay. The campground is new and still not a lot of people know about it yet. It's laid out in such a way that there is space for every type of camper. There are over a hundred RV sites-many of them pull throughs and with full hook ups. When you arrive, a staff member escorts you to your site, so there's no getting lost. He stayed to make sure we had all we needed, and then left us alone to get set up. The ground was level, well manicured and the picnic table was in excellent condition. As the trees grow larger, the shade will be very nice. If you're not pulling a trailer or driving an RV, there are also a few tent sites throughout the park. You'll also notice some little cabins that you can rent too. Each space has ample parking and plenty of room between you an your neighbor. I didn't feel crowded at all. Campground bathrooms can either make or break a place-these ones MAKE it! There are several gender neutral bathrooms-each with their own private shower. They were cleaner than my shower at home! Above each door just outside the room is a light that shines red or green, so no wondering if it's vacant or not. There is a large group pavilion that guests can use, first come, first served. It's got plenty of tables and a large outdoor sink for cleaning your dishes. Onsite, there is also a nice playground and a fun splash pad for the kids. Not far from that is a small dog run for your dogs to run free. The main store has a few convenience items as well as a nice laundry area. My interactions with the staff were all very positive. People were friendly and seemed to enjoy their work. The entire vibe of the campground was inviting; so much so that our large group booked reservations for several sites at the end of the month. Who knew that little Helper, Utah would become our vacation destination?! But we can't wait to come back.

We arrived around 4pm yesterday, and after a quick check in, we were escorted to our site by the host in a golf cart. He helped my husband park the trailer (so grateful for that, not my specialty). It was raining when we arrived, so it was a little bit if a muddy setup. Our site is right on the river. I took the kids exploring to the playground and splash pad once it stopped raining. They enjoyed the playground but we skipped on the splash pad as it was a little chilly. We used the provided map & guide to pick out a place for dinner. After dinner, the kids played at the park some more before showers and bed. The bathrooms and showers are great - they are clean and smell fresh, and spacious enough to get all the kids handled at once. After bathing the children, I sent them to bed and got a shower in for myself - A+ for hot water and water pressure. Also, there are plugs in there making it convenient to dry my hair there rather than waking the kids up with my hair dryer in the camper. Overnight, the sound of the roaring river was lovely and mostly drowns out thee highway noise. The whole family slept well, and we're off on another day if adventure.

Second go around at this place. Love the spacious park. Employees are so welcoming and accommodating. Highly recommend it if you are in the area. They have cabins too.

My husband and I were traveling through Utah late in the evening yesterday after purchasing a new fifth wheel from a local dealer. We needed a place to stay for the night and came across Castle Gate RV. After calling the main number it gave clear instructions on how to do a late check in and we were able to drive up, grab a packet/ place in the Dropbox, and get into a site for the night. The park was clean & easily maneuvered. We came while it was snowing, so I imagine it would be amazing to stay for a week or so in the summer! If we are ever back in the area, we will definitely come back! Also, the Mountain View's are incredible. Thank you Castle Gate for providing a nice & safe place to stay for the night!

    table and kitchenette

We stayed in one of the cabinets here for 2 nights and it can easily accommodate me my wife and 3 kids. When we were here the weather was 20 degrees but the heater was perfect to keep us warm at 78 degrees The cabin was fully equipped with everything one needs ig coffee, comfortable bed, microwave, stove, fully bath and so much more My kids had never experienced snow and this was a perfect place for to come for a new days and unplug from the grind of life Helper is beautiful and amazing. Downtown Helper is clean, recently fully remodeled and Christmas lights up on all the building. The people are very welcoming and polite and the art scene is starting to take off

Very much enjoyed this park. Everything is new, well kept and very clean. Staff was super friendly and easy check in process. Kids enjoyed the splash pad and playground. WiFi was much better than expected, and cable tv has a good channel list. Little close to train track but wasn't noticeable or irritating at all.

I took my time doing the hike--listened to some music; noticed the different plants; took breaks; and then, took my headphones off to really soak in nature. It was so therapeutic. Once I reached the final point, I noticed it was quite packed when I went around fall season; and I'm not surprised. The weather was perfect to dip in the hot springs; and the colorful fall leaves made my experience extra vibrant. The water was clean; temperature of water varies depending on where you're sitting; and each area vary in size. As for someone who enjoys exploring and all the adventures, I decided to take my time to sit in each hot springs. Honestly, my favorite is the first one as the hiker approaches the start of hot springs. It's not big, but it's more secluded. It has a nice balance of shade and sunlight; little waterfalls; and some rocks to hop over and/or sit on. I felt as if it was part of my backyard, lol. I couldn't help but to take so much pictures. I'm definitely coming back again during the spring or summer to experience it differently.

The concept of a natural hot springs is to go during colder months and expect to walk a lot to get…read morethere since it is natural and secluded. We didn't want to pay for a hot spring since the other ones were busy and the "natural" element is no longer there. However, we weren't as prepared as we thought we were. We visited this hot spring in late December which meant a lot of the roads leading there were closed due to the snow. We walked about 1 mile before reaching the trailhead. Once you reach a sign that points straight and right, take the right to cross the small bridge towards the side of the mountain. Our saving grace was google maps but it wasn't fully accurate at times. Remember that once you cross that bridge, the river should stay on your right until you reach the springs. This trek was TOUGH and feels like 10 miles (when it's only about 5) because of the hills and thick snow/ice. We did not have spikes or sticks to help so we had to rely on each other and our surroundings. It took about 2.5 hours going since we didn't stop and were going fairly quickly and this is coming from someone who does not hike regularly. There was a portion of the hike that was a uphill climb using a rope which was probably the scariest part for me because it was icy and not stable (hence why spikes would help). Once you near the springs, the smell of sulfur becomes strong and the river begins changing color from clear to blue. There are 2 spots that is on google maps, the first one was very busy but it was not the main attraction. We kept walking and got to the actual fifth water hot springs which was still kind of busy but enjoyable. We got into both the hot springs and the cold springs and it was a very cool experience. The hike back was much faster since we knew where we were going but still hard. If you want to challenge yourself to a hike with a cool and relaxing reward of being in the hot springs, I would recommend this hike! I'm sure it's easier when it's not snowy/icy but being in naturally hot pools while your surroundings are covered in snow is beautiful and I would do this again. Tips: -We forgot towels which was a rookie mistake so make sure to take some! -Remember to take off any jewelry prior to going/getting in the hot springs because the sulfur will tarnish it. -Wear thick socks to avoid frozen toes. -The hike itself was beautiful so remember to look up and enjoy the scenery instead of always looking down at the trail. -Start EARLY because it will take at least half a day to complete
