The best and oldest tobacco shop in Hickory, 53 years in business!! The staff knows their stuff!…read more Cigars and pipe tobacco. They are located in an old Pizza Hut building, hence the name. Large lounge with NO CHARGE to use. Comfortable seating and something is always on the big TV. They ask that you buy something, anything. That's not too much to ask. They have soda's, water and coffee available as well as chips, crackers, etc. Wifi is available and they let you bring in cigars you did not buy there! Something another place in Hickory will not let you do, for some reason. The cigar humidor could be bigger as they are stuffed in the one they have. My only complaint. Look closely or you may miss something. If you don't see it, be sure to ask the staff because it's easy to overlook in there. Lots of old school brands and LOTS of boutique brands at MSRP prices. If something is marked up, it not an outragous amount. Some hard to find in alot of places. One of the very few places I have seen Padron Black Label's!! Their "house blend" cigars are pretty dang awesome too!! Buy 1 and get the second half-price!! Hard to beat that! If you enjoy a pipe, they have dozens and dozens of jars of pipe tobacco to choose from as well has lots of tinned tobacco. From what I was, alot of Cornell and Diehl, Peterson an GL Pease but there are alot more. The pipe selection can vary. Sometimes, they have LOTS to choose from, but I have been in there at other times where the selection was a bit sparse. I guess they are selling them.?. They occasionally have cut and light cigar events with reps from different manufacturers too! DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE!!

They were knowledgable in all the areas where questions were asked and the presentation, although dry material, was done reasonably well. The final part of the class work was at the firing range. The firing range is not a beautiful, air conditioned or heated space but simply a berm out in the woods where we shot. This is totally sufficient and works well with the process they have in place. They are 100% safety conscious and patient with first time gun shooters. They do provide rental guns if it's necessary. Everyone that I dealt with was happy to help me and answered all my questions. I would recommend this company to anyone interested in obtaining a Concealed Carry Gun permit OR looking for reasonable prices on firearms, both pistol and long guns as well as Safes, clothing and other Concealed Carry items. My hat's off to them for a job well done. Bob Reynolds, Gastonia NC.

We went today to find out about guitar lessons and picking out a guitar for my daughter and he went above and beyond going over everything possible that we could need to know. He took so much time to make sure she had a guitar that she was comfortable with and fit her perfectly. Then, after we had gone through the whole purchase process, he spent even more time with us showing specifically how to tune the guitar and even caught that the neck was a little dry and moisturized it for us. He even told us that the first time we have a guitar string break, we can come right to him and he'll show us how to replace the strings. I felt like we were so, so taken care of by him and loved it. And as an extra bonus, he recognized my daughter's Attack on Titan hoodie, so he's got great taste in anime as well. I can't wait for my daughter to start taking lessons here because the staff here truly know what they're doing and enjoy their jobs.
