I wanted to be close to Milan, but not stay in the city. One of my main priorities was having a…read morepool to relax. I'm soooo happy we chose the C-Hotel & Spa. Ohhhh the beauty!!! I got all the privacy I was searching for, as well as the top notch service I expected. The pool area is tiny. I mean, really tiny!! But the spa area is where you need to be. You pay a lil extra, but you book a block of time and it's all yours for that period of time. There's a Turkish bath, jacuzzi, and the waterfall that you stand under after getting out the Turkish bath. Those couple of hours were heaven!!! There was no one interrupting, hopping in/out of the jacuzzi, or steam room. You can also book a massage while there. Everything was A+++. This hotel delivered everything I was looking for! Modern decor, seclusion, privacy, GREAT food (at the restaurant and room service), and EXCELLENT customer service!!!

But some things can get improve :) here are the list: 1. The room need towel hooks, maybe need at least 2? 2. The wifi is not smooth, but maybe due to for from the city? 3. The AC is okay, but I can life with it. After all, this hotel is eco friendly. Also each room provide with black out so be sure you lower it down during sunny time! 4. Maybe they should use wall hang amenities for soap and shampoo, to complete the clean look. To avoid leaving the amenities tubes on the shower floor. 5. The lobby could be less "things". The feeling now is very dense and messy. Which not very minimalist at all. Perhaps better sitting area (not a couch with no structure) Leaving me with feeling 'messy'. Also, less magazine would be nice :) I love all the details of the hotel. Everything are very well thought. From the square toilet, nice comfy bed, pillows, bed sheets through the breakfast presentation! I LOVE them all!!! Not to mention the people here are very kind and friendly (a.k. a - very good service!) - THANK YOU! Definitely this hotel has a resorts vibe which I like and somehow bring me back to Bali...Again, this hotel is very boutique and I am so glad to experience it my self.

The room was quiet and the bed extremely comfortable. The buffet breakfast was excellent. The grounds of the hotel are stunning, the pool sits right on the lake with gorgeous views. We were looking for some rest and relaxation, ideally in a beautiful setting with good food. This hotel absolutely delivered. We had a suite facing the lake with a large balcony. The suite and the balcony were both excellently appointed, and quite large. The bed was very comfortable. The couch, bureau, desk and chairs were all in excellent condition. The room itself was beautiful, with era appropriate design. The balcony was excellent, comfortable and quite large. There were two outdoor lounge chairs, and a table with two chairs. With all of that, there was still enough room left on the balcony for my morning workout. The grounds are beautiful. And the hotel continues its use of greenery on the balconies to separate areas for each suite. All done tastefully and the plants are all in very good condition. The breakfast buffet is fantastic. An assortment of croissants, made to order omelets, cereal, yoghurts, fruit, excellent cheeses, meats . . . It goes on and on. The staff were quite lovely and extremely helpful. In truth, I was prepared for a bit of pushback when my wife and I showed up - we are gay. Not even a blink of an eye from anyone. Unfortunately, these days that is a welcome relief. And the spa - out of this world! Massages, lovely jacuzzi/hot tub, Finnish sauna, Turkish bath and more. If you are a guest the hotel there is a small fee for the use of the spa. The pool is lovely. It sits right next to lake Como. Jumping in was easy, if you have the stamina for cold water. There is a small cafe at the pool with food and drinks. The staff brings your order out to wherever you are sitting. The village of Maltrasio is filled with beauty and lovely people. The hotel is on the shore and the village goes up the hill. The walk to the village is short, but a bit steep. All in all this is a lovely place to come if you want beauty, relaxation, good food and kind people.

So many things were thought of that I'd never consider. As simple as leaving a glass cleaner cloth on my nightstand to accompany the sunglasses that I left out. Different chocolates at turn down service each night. Making sure the mini bar was always stocked. Complimentary champagne upon arrival. Speedy laundry service. Attentive restaurant staff. Inventive, tasty, and beautiful meals at the restaurant. Fantastic cappuccinos (and with nut milks available). Never leaving a glass empty. Always something available to drink or snack on. As far as decor- mid century modern posh. Even though this hotel is now a few years old- you wouldn't know it because of how well they maintain everything. Brown woods and green accents were so pleasing to the eye and created a cozy hip aesthetic despite its modernity and clean lines. Location is perfect for rest. Torno is not a town with crowds shoulder to shoulder. You have room to breathe, to have some privacy, and to truly rest. But it is not sleepy. Hotel set us up with a wonderful and challenging hike, as well as a beautiful boat tour of part of Lake Como. The ferry is also not far away if you are looking to visit one of the other busier parts of Como. Any need or question we had, the Il Sereno staff strived to fulfill. I visited during my birthday and felt so very special every day I spent here. I couldn't think of a more enjoyable experience and I couldn't recommend this enough.

We just left this morning and miss it already. We had some cooler weather and one day of rain but the site is so beautiful and tranquil it was a pleasure. Ok greeting is spectacular, warm engaging helpful We had the top floor Alcova suite great views plenty if space. Food. Divine You can have an amazing variation of one star coursed meals or al la carte servings and they have casual all day dining menu. Staff. Wow. My hats off to the leadership of this property for the curation and training of their staff. Young energetic foodies and caring people who anticipate needs but never hover and basically seem to take great joy in you having have a great time. I loved not being presented with bills also just they know who you are and it ends up on your bill at the end. Do not miss a boat ride. Or two Be aware you are staying in a location that was happening in the 1700's Roads are narrow Things cost more as a result It's beautiful If you can you should. At least once. I am planning my return now for September

Both my wife and I had the risotto Milanese with osso bucco, a house specialty. It was DELICIOUS!!! The risotto was a perfect mix of creaminess while still maintaining a firm bite to the rice grains (some sort of magical alchemy I'm sure). The flavor was superb. The osso bucco was fork tender, rich in flavor, and oh so good. We had a local from Milan with us and he gave the risotto two thumbs up, slurping and chomping his way happily through his plate. We all finished the meal by digging out the marrow and having it on a crusty piece of bread, as the locals do. Food was excellent, as was the friendly staff (who spoke a good bit of English). I would love to come back here one day
