Aside from the pictures I provide him, he seems to be able to visualize and then create what is described verbally very quickly (in other words there are not several re drawings to achieve what is desired...he gets it the first time). I have been very impressed with his professionalism and work product. I feel when you hire someone that has years or a few decades of experience in a field it makes a HUGE difference and that is what I have found with Doug Whitfield. Doug is the second designer I have hired for house plans and I would hire him again without hesitation. He would be the first person I would go to for any future projects. His pricing is clearly laid out. Lastly, I must point out that I wish I would have hired him from the beginning because I feel/know his professional experience and knowledge would have saved us money in the long run. The reason we did not hire him from the beginning is because his portfolio on his web page did not contain any houses which looked like what we wanted built. Most of the houses were Florida style. After our first meeting with him we saw many houses he had designed which were not posted on his web page. He told me he was updating his website. Highly Recommend!

We just returned from a winter vacation over Christmas to the Pensacola Beach area. This was our…read more3rd vacation with Pineapple Coast Vacations. Allan and Apryl are outstanding hosts. Our previous two visits were special occasions and included other extended family members. Not a dull moment. This year, we just wanted to get away, relax, walk on beach, and enjoy the great Gulf of America seafood that is fabulous. We can talk about seafood without mentioning Joe Patti's fish market. Taking some peel and eat shrimp back to condo with a bowl of clam chowder was repeated this visit. We had 4 days of warmer weather in the mid-70's then go cold. We stayed in their Sunset Harbor single bedroom unit which was fine for the two of us. We took advantage of "off-season" rates and had a wonderful break. This unit offers everything you need, and is located in quiet Navarre Beach area. Being a one bedroom, it of course was much smaller than our previous locations. This is an older unit, well maintained, and doesn't have the flair of the other Pineapple Coast Properties we previously stayed, but that just means we were spoiled! Another observation this time of year is the absence of the Blue Angel's practicing in the area, they travel to San Diego for winter training before they start their annual tour. There are plenty of great dinning opportunities nearby and Allan and Apryl can provide suggestions. Been home for 5 days, and starting to talk about our next trip already.

She transformed the space into a relaxing beach retreat, perfectly capturing the style I was aiming for--all within my budget and on schedule. Her communication was outstanding; she was quick to respond to emails and always professional and courteous. If you're in need of a talented and professional interior designer, I highly recommend Angela at Bontemps Interiors. Thank you for your fantastic work.

Most of them had the look of a 1985 beach scene full of cheap rental furniture. A few had a more up to date look and even fewer had the formal look with quality and services that we were looking for. When we walked into Bontemps Interiors it was obvious right away that their look was right. Then within minutes, we had discovered that the prices we saw were better than what we had seen elsewhere and in some cases for the exact name brand, color and style. We were offered expert help and were explained how their design services worked. After all that we knew we had found the right place. Angela and Maggie listened to what we wanted and were almost immediately able to provide us with photos, fabric samples and actual items from the showroom floor. It didn't take long and without having to drive all over creation getting in and out of the car, going in and out of store after store, Angela showed up herself with the first truck full of furnishings. She had her people start filling the condo while she directed placement and it all started coming together. Some items she got for us, others she helped us find. We still are working with her on an assortment of wall hangings and other decor items. We could not have had a better experience and could not be happier with the way our new place is turning out! Without hesitation, we recommend Bontemps Interiors!

We liked the color, IIRC upgraded the cushions for longevity, the stain resistance of the fabric was emphasized and we mentioned multiple times we wanted removeable cushions so they could be cleaned. We'd checked at the store in front of the staff that they had zip covers - yep, we're good. Worst case, Woolite in the tub. We really liked the couch, the fit, the feel, the upholstery, all of it. We caved on the back cushions being fixed as there were either no options or we didn't like them. Delivery was great and if there was any delay, it was tolerable. The cats were freaked out by the seriously tall guys that made the drop and hauled off the rancid carcass. It was fun to watch. Fast forward and I decided the throw pillows needed a good cleaning. No tags on the pillow covers, can't find one on the couch without rummaging, nothing hanging while around the edges. I called the store, asked for the fabric code and care code and was told nope. waterless cleaners only. Hello, what? The customer service number had gone directly to voicemail so I declined the transfer and went back to the site , then remembered I wasn't given the codes. I called back for them and was told "Code S" "Spot clean only with a water-free dry cleaning solvent" and "Cushion covers should not be removed and dry cleaned" NEVER mentioned during the sale. I asked repeatedly that the upholstery were as much as possible removeable TO BE CLEANED. We would absolutely have gone with another option, even an uncomfortable fabric, since we expected it would typically be covered in throw blankets anyway. Had it been even mentioned the damn thing wasn't even dry clean only. SHOP A DIFFERENT STORE.

Instead of replacing this brand new dresser, DS sent furniture repairman to our home to put support underneath and reinstall drawer guides. A month later, drawer guides failed again; DS sent equipment and told us it was no longer under warranty. Hated decorators taste, felt like everything was from a catalog, a Fingerhut catalog. $4K recliner came with Doritos in back so pretty sure it was sitting in a warehouse somewhere. There is a large gouge in our new dining room table which DS declined to address. Bed headboard came with black streak and bed base came with water stain. DS paid for rental of upholstery cleaner and cleaning solution. The ottoman purchased specifically for back problems is too short in comparison to the couch and the legs are missing. He posted in response on the FB page that he has no idea "who this crazy person is" posting on the FB page, yet sent me the following email: Jeffrey Spradlin d*****s***f******@i*****.com to me, k******. Lise, you dreadful ungrateful liar. You did not spend a nickel on any of the items that YOUR SISTER graciously purchased for you. It would not matter if it came from fingerhut or goodwill or Bloomingdales because apparently you have no clue about anything. For you to go on Facebook and smear our good reputation is appalling to say the least and shows why you are where you are in life. We bent over backwards to drive 600 miles to give you a beautiful home and this is the thanks we get. Please rot in hell. My only saving thought is knowing what a dreadful leach of a person you are- I feel so sorry for your sister....You are a miserable human being taking up precious space on this earth....please donate everything we brought to you and go buy your own shit.... Sent from my iPhone I have tried working with this company for a year to get the items replaced or repaired. He has ultimately blown us off. My sister wanted to provide us a gift of furnishings and interior design services in our new home, during my retirement. She has used "K" for years in her own homes, even after K moved to GSF&D when her prior workplace closed doors. So my sister felt confident in engaging her services along with Jeffrey Spradlin at GSF&D to provide us with this gift. My sister paid all expenses that were incurred and billed: delivery fees, gas, food and lodging for all employees, including a rental car and flights home for K and her assistant. I am retired from my last career as an administrative assistant, providing 23 years of loyal service to NASA. I am not a leach, nor am I a miserable person. We have tried over and over to get the issues with our furniture resolved. Jeffrey has treated us poorly and has refused to make things right. I have given my sister updates over the months and she is beyond horrified at his latest response. Because it was a gift from my sister, Jeffrey expected me to be grateful for whatever was sent and not speak up. But I find that unfair to me and my sister. She did not get what she bargained for and it has been awkward to try and get things made right. I am grateful for my sister's generosity and my sister knows this many times over as I tell her this. My sister and K are left in the most awkward position from this business owner's lack of professionalism and integrity. I didn't even mention our new sofa in my original review. It was another item we had a quality issue with from the very beginning. My sister paid for high end sofa construction and upholstery. This is what it looks like one year later:
