I went in for an initial consultation and made an appointment for the extractions, but one tooth became infected a week before my procedure. I called the hotline on a Sunday evening and was able to talk to Dr. Johnson over the phone and he scheduled me for an emergency appointment the following morning for that one tooth! After getting all of them removed, I had to go to NYC for work the following week with unbearable pain (I'm not sure why I did that, oops). I called the office from NYC and they were SO kind enough to give me information about seeing an oral surgeon there and even talked to them over the phone to explain my situation! If I somehow find additional wisdom teeth in my mouth, I'll definitely go back! (but hopefully not lol)

I was looking for someone that specialized in removing impacted wisdom teeth and this office was the top search. What I loved about my experience was everything was clearly explained throughout the entire process. Booking a consultation was seamless. The front desk staff clearly explained how their billing process worked prior to booking and they explain what to expect on the day of your appointment. My consultation and surgery was with Dr. Libunao. He was very professional and to the point. He clearly explained my treatment plan, potential risk/what to expect after surgery. Day of surgery seemed really quick, all I remember is the first 10 mins of the appointment. If I recall the overall process was an hour. I also really like that their office provides you with the necessary prescriptions prior during your consultation. It really eases things post surgery. However, my experience with that surgeon was nothing short of terrible! At that time, the surgeon dubbed my 4th wisdom tooth "unremovable", and said it would need to be re-evaluated later to see if it could be removed. Of course, my experience with the other 3 removals was so terrible that I decided just to keep the 4th tooth, rather than go through such an awful thing again. Fast forward to a few months ago when ongoing infections make it obvious that that tooth has GOT to go. Of course, I was terrified because of what my previous oral surgeon told me. My dentist referred me to Dr. Dave, and when he told me that it would be no problem to remove that tooth, I was HIGHLY skeptical and a bit suspicious. He was totally right though! He was able to remove this "problem" wisdom tooth quickly and easily with no problems. I barely even had any pain afterward and the tooth healed quickly and without issue. What's more, Dr. Dave even called me the following day (a Saturday) just to make sure I was doing ok, something my previous surgeon never did. My only regret is that I did not go to Dr. Dave three years ago to have my initial wisdom tooth surgery. It would likely have saved me a lot of problems (and $). If you've been putting off oral surgery for any reason, don't hesitate to book it with Dr. Dave. He's great!

So when a cracked tooth called for an extraction and implant I needed to have the best and I found the best in Dr. Denemark for this procedure. Dr. Denemark and his team of professionals made an 1hr long procedure feel like 30 minutes and with no pain during or post surgery. I highly recommend the product he recommended called "Nu Calm". To be brief, you are asked to chew a few tablets, then a set of Bose headphones are placed on your head and classical music is played; within minutes you are in a calm and meditated state during the surgery and will feel no pain during or post surgery. I had my 2nd extraction by him yesterday. When he was making me numb, he said that was the hardest part, and the 2 needles he gave me did not hurt at all. Then he came back about 10 minutes later, and in less than 45 seconds my tooth was out. It's now about 28 hours later - I have had no pain at all, no swelling, virtually no bleeding. In fact, other than having one less tooth, I have no negative after effects. The staff was great, especially his nurse Jeanette, who was very patient and explained everything to me, and the front desk people are all great. About 25 hours after the extraction, I got a surprise call from Gilliana, asking me how I was doing. I must have seen a dentist about 100 times in my life, and I never ever got a call from anyone's office asking me how I was doing. I was in chronic gum and facial pain for months, and finally when I couldn't stand it any more, I went to an oral surgeon who found "hot nerves" in most of my teeth and gums. I was given the option to have numerous root canals and crowns put on my teeth, or have them extracted. I opted to get the teeth removed by this oral surgeon (in Frankfort), and when I looked for a local dentist for restoration, I discovered Dr. Kathryn Kennedy DDS. She is very "matter-of-fact," doesn't hold back on what all the options are, and she's very good at her craft. Although she didn't do any of the extractions, we set up a restoration plan which included partials for my many missing teeth. She did a great job of working on the teeth I had left in my mouth, then took tedious and careful measurements of my mouth, gums, etc., in order to fit me for my partials. Since they were delivered, Dr. Kennedy spent a long time making sure I was comfortable with my partials, and gave me a kit with all the necessary equipment for care and maintenance. I like her office and the exam/treatment rooms. They are decorated with beautiful dioramas or peaceful scenes, and have the railroad train tracks around the ceilings of her facility. I haven't actually seen the trains run, but I'm told that the kids love it! Not only is this location convenient for me, but the staff arranged a plan for me to pay for my care and that of my family. I feel confident and trust Dr. Kennedy, and believe that she has every single patient's best dental care in mind when she performs her craft.
