The first time we went was nice. There was a live DJ and it was mostly Latin music which was fun to my friends and I.
The second time we went, it was a big group of us. We were there for about an hour and a half, having fun and buying reasonably priced drinks. We were dancing when a security guard decided to kick our friend out. We all followed and apparently, the security guard "watched" him for 10 minutes and he had his eyes closed and swaying around while he was dancing. He made him do a test which included spinning in a circle which he passed easily. Then, he had to jump around in a circle while on one leg. While he was jumping in a circle, his foot moved out the "circle" that his foot was supposed to stay in to the security guards "test", and because of that, he was "too drunk".
For one, our friend is a bad dancer.
Two, he doesn't have good balance and anyone with bad balance isn't going to pass that test.
Three, anyone drunk, but far from being very bad, is going to have trouble doing that, especially at 2 am in the morning when you already have bad balance
Four, we had all already bought some drinks at the bar. We were just customers having a good time dancing.
The security guard goes on to say that he's the one certified as security and we have nothing to say. He goes back inside after the "test" and we're not allowed inside anymore.
My entire friend group and I are no longer going back there. The one security guards absurdity ruined it all. read more
