An old-world Bahamian speakeasy in the trendy Parnell District. A golden pineapple, a symbol of friendship and hospitality, shines brightly from the matte black door; it is the only clue you will receive that you have arrived (unless the windows are open and you can look inside lol). A dapper bartender warmly greets you behind a formidable wooden bar. The candles with endless flow of dripping wax and soothing bass from jazz music set the scene. The liqueurs are shelved along side decorative copper palm tree leaves. Ample seating awaits you at the bar, front nook by the windows, along side the massive mural of a Victorian park, or in the study in the back.
The cocktails are well balanced, smooth, and nicely portioned with an extensive collection. A selection of charcuterie is also offered. Live piano music is offered during some weekdays.
Bottom line: old-world Bahamian speakeasy in a perfect setting with smooth cocktails. read more
