I ended up a here a few weeks back when a few of us turned up about 20minutes too late to make use of Food Alley's $6.50 cocktails (which are the best, obviously). We didn't feel like going to a "proper" bar so ended up at Attica. I was surprised about how OK it was, expecting a slightly uninspiring hotel bar. The decor is slightly mid-200s "cool minimalistic hotel" but it's not a huge place, and it's mostly windows so it's all fine. I only had a glass of wine so can't comment on anything else. The view from the bar is to Queen St and up to Albert Park, which was hosting the Lantern Festival the night we were there so it was all very pretty. It's fine here - I'd go back for a quiet drink some other time, especially if I'm not in the mood for a big raucous place.

    Great service!!

For the dumplings we did have: the beef with mustard and duck with onions were tasty, but nothing unique. I couldn't taste the mustard; the flavor didnt pop or stand out. The service was also terribly slow at lunch, despite only two tables being filled. Not much to be desired. Easier to go down prince street and get cheap yummy dumplings.

After a long day of visiting several vineyards and sampling many wines, all I wanted to do was relax with a glass of wine and just a little bit of food. Xuxu hit the spot. I had pork dumplings, pickled cucumbers, and a glass of Syrah. The dumplings were delicious. The cucumbers were cool, flavourful, and just slight spicy. The glass of Syrah complimented the dishes perfectly. I was seated next to the stove where the chef was steaming the dumplings so I got to watch orders come in and the dishes go out. I also watched the bartender, server, and hostess work hard to complete the foods and drink orders. The atmosphere, beautiful lighting, and good music makes this restaurant a perfect place for a date. I'll be back next time I'm in town.

I'm not talking about the same type of music (that would be fine) I'm talking about playing the exact same list of songs in there week after week; it gets very dull after three weeks, believe me. I was hoping this was just because it was Bar Crawl night but I went there quite late last Friday night and the music was still the same! It also really annoys me that the toilet area is really cramped. There's barely enough room for about two or three people in there, let alone when a 150 strong crowd descends in there of a Thursday night and all the girls are queuing at the same time. I also wish there was some sort of outside seating area too, as the club is in a basement, it can get really hot in there. The good thing though is that I have always found the bourncers and bar staff to be really friendly, which is a welcome relief compared to some of the more upmarket palces in the CBD.

Also it seems to be a bit of a late-night venue and since I'm normally in bed by 11 I'll leave the kids to it. The decor, music and crowd seem to have changed little in the last few years. They play some good tunes, serve some nice drinks and have some pretty people partying in nice surroundings. Not a bad spot.

Both were delicious and great for the price. After HH, I stayed for a Margherita pizza and more wine. The pizza was thin crust and tasted fresh. Only thing that was interesting to me was the inability to order the same HH wines after HH. The selection switches out. Service was really great and friendly. It started off rather quiet for HH but began to fill as time went on. Plenty of seating options and trendy decor.

VISIT: end of February 2020…read more This was a pleasant surprise as we ate here probably every day of the 3 that we were in town. I typically shy away from restaurants that are in the hotel because they tend to be pricey. We felt, for Americans, that this was decently priced and that each time we ate here, we got a different meal FOOD WE TRIED: - Chicken and vegetable dumplings - Prawn and chive Gyoza - Arancini - 55 day aged beef brisket sliders - Seafood Risotto - Spaghetti with mussels, snapper and prawns The sliders, gyoza and spaghetti with seafood was VERY good. I wouldn't order the dumplings again, but I always forget that chicken dumplings just aren't the same as pork and/or shrimp. The Arancini was a bit disappointing in flavor, maybe just a touch more salt would have been helpful and same thing with the flavor of the Risotto. The seafood was cooked perfectly, but the sauce on it just wasn't as flavorful as I would have liked, for a risotto. Service was always great with the staff always helpful with recommendations. We were very happy to have access to this restaurant during our stay the Four Points
