Gorgeous interior design on the inside. I've visited Cassai about four times in total while in to Mallorca. It's located near the best beaches on the southeastern side. The town of Ses Salines can look a little bit dead but once you go to a place you'll see how vibrant life is. The food here is good to very good. They have international mixed with traditional Spanish dishes to please a larger crowd of people. Also, each day they have a special menu. I always drink Sangria when in Spain, and here, I've had one of the best. They're open during lunch hours later than other places. Something to be cautious while in Spain. Customer service is also very good though you may need to know a little bit of Spanish to order depending on who you get as a server. Not as fast as in US, but you get to enjoy food and no one bothers you!

Horrible food and service. More flies than people! They must have dumped the whole container of salt in the food. Avoid at all cost!

Cassai Beach House - So Far, The BEST Paella We've Had So Far

So, we made it a point to make a day out of it and head to the beach while in that area of town as well. Colónia de Sant Jordi is one area we didn't get to experience during our first trip to the island 16 years ago- so it was interesting to see what makes this part of town tick or not tick for us. For one, everywhere you look, Colónia de Sant Jordi overflows with resort hotels. Second, the part of town where Cassai Beach House is located, is a lot quieter. In other words, not crowded whatsoever. This beachfront restaurant in Colònia de Sant Jordi is the ultra popular and chic sibling to Cassai (flagship?) near where we're staying in Ses Salines. Since the beach is feet away, the style inside has coastal touches, high-end neutral and breezy accessories, pale woods and white wainscoting. Call me superficial, but I can't help loving a restaurant that gets me reaching for my phone camera when I walk by. Or in. Service was fantastic from our girl Juliana here-she's friendly, attentive and plated our paella. Our seafood-only paella rocked. The flavor, the seasoning, the seafood and the thoroughly-cooked rice was phenomenal. I mean this is rich bitch lunch without sacrificing your wallet. Period at the end.

Beautiful views- it is right across the sea. Elegant decor of blue and white, some outdoor sitting…read more The restraunt is part of the corner building containing a cafe, a restaurant, a home decor shop. The waiter that served us drinks was very grumpy and ruined the whole experience

At that point I felt, 'it'll be YOUR fault'. Besides that, step inside and leave the world behind because Moli de Sal is very much a rustic-eating on the ranch/farm vibe. Aside from the meat-heavy, male dominated servers/no women servers, the grounds are strangely enchanting. Take for instance the twisty thick branches encroaching the stone pillars, the softly lit stone pathway, the brassy floor lamp in one corner or the bamboo ceiling we sat under. Even with the dated reviews here, this place has generated enough buzz because on the night we came, the place was packed. Reserve, reserve, reserve like we did. Moli de Sal looks like nothing from the main road- because of its marquee OPEN sign. If GPS takes you through the backroads leading here, then you'll see Moli's real farm feel. The German(?) husband+ wife team truly keep things afloat cleverly. They're on hand for assistance in Eng+Spa. as well as the servers who truly cinch the floor swiftly and speak English. Chalkboard menus are huge and list the day's bounty. Cooking is as rustic as can be as the chef cranks his grill and fires it up. Hubs didn't think he was going to like the steak but he loved it when the chef expertly prepped it med-well. My red snapper was kissed softly with salt and char- but it was mind-blowing juicy. If you're driving through town or staying in town like we were, Moli is worth every effort.
