The fish was soft and well marinated, delicious. The steak was juicy and came with pasta which actually complimented the meat really well. They also offer a variety of condiments and spicy sauces. The menu consists mainly of meat and fish with various sides. They don't serve alcohol and you can't BYOB as it's a halal restaurant adhering to Muslim values. They do offer a range of tasty mocktails though. You'll find this to be the case with most restaurants on the Curry Mile but don't let that put you off, you can always go to a bar afterwards! The fish was good but usually I try a slither of rare/medium rare steak..but I find meat isn't as succulent or as tasty without the red stuff..also I do enjoy a glass of wine with this kind of food.. I managed to track down My Nawaab and it was far better than my already fond recollection They have perhaps the broadest range of Pakistani and South Asian Cuisine I've ever seen. The service is top notch and I cannot herald the staff enough for their warmth and friendliness. As a stranger on my own, I was made to feel so at home. As a huge bonus, they have my absolute favourite dessert in the world, Oymali, which I last had in Cairo. As a grand finale when I returned for a second night in a row before driving onward to York, they personally made sure that I had a helping of faluda. First impressions however don't last and I'm here to announce that the food thankfully did make a lasting impression. I'd personally recommend the mixed grill, even if I struggled to get through half of it. Don't be put off by the cover, its the contents of the book that count. If Beirut was a book, I would highly recommend it, it was a great read.
