You get your money's worth for sure and don't go away feeling hungry. My brother ordered a rump steak with a side of chicken wings and chips. I had the tilapia with chips and rice. The fish was soft and well marinated, delicious. The steak was juicy and came with pasta which actually complimented the meat really well. They also offer a variety of condiments and spicy sauces. The menu consists mainly of meat and fish with various sides. They don't serve alcohol and you can't BYOB as it's a halal restaurant adhering to Muslim values. They do offer a range of tasty mocktails though. You'll find this to be the case with most restaurants on the Curry Mile but don't let that put you off, you can always go to a bar afterwards! Well worth a visit.

For a halal steak house I wasn't feeling greatly optimistic. But I will try anything once…read more On entering it was very low key cafe based but the busyness encouraged me. Taking a seat in a plastic chair I soon discovered there was no alcohol served. I did try a mocktail of sangria and my friend a strawberry daiquiri. As you can imagine the menu consisted of meat and luckily fish, all at a reasonable price. We ordered the ten spicy chicken wings to share,me the tilapia fish and himself something steak like. The cocktails were nicely presented however mine was very Vimtoey. Chicken wings soon followed which were plentiful, the spice on them was good and sized averagely. When the mains landed I was pleasantly surprised. Served on a giant wooden platter I double checked to see I hadn't ordered the baby whale instead. The steak was laid out in the same manner smothered with pasta. The flavours were good, although glancing over at the steak it looked so anemic with out the blood. Dependant on who you are this is a great place. I.e if you are T Total, eat halal meat you will love it.. me however am only just coming to terms on meat eating . The fish was good but usually I try a slither of rare/medium rare steak..but I find meat isn't as succulent or as tasty without the red stuff..also I do enjoy a glass of wine with this kind of food.. Will I be back? No but I will recommend it to some of my friends and it is cheap..and meaty.

I must endeavour to find a cookbook and rediscover the lost art of knowing exactly what you are eating. That said, when food tastes as good as it does from Lahori Kebabish I'd just say put the whisk and chopping board away my friends. I don't think its been here very long but me and my friends discovered this the other week - we were cruising around in my friend's car looking for somewhere we could grab some food. You see, after a few bad run ins with waiting forever for home delivery, we prefer to take matters into our own hands. Lahori Kebabish is pretty good value for money - for under a tenner, you get three different curries plus loads of pilau rice etc. With cheap prices comes mediocre tastes but we were all plesantly surprised. We'll definitely be trying here again for the next film night - good food to share/ mix and match.

The menu is extensive and covers many mediterranean classics as well as a large choice of curries, karahis, biriyanis, steaks, vegetarian options and even a kid's menu. It doesn't look like much from the outside but inside the decor is modern and clean and the service is quick, even quicker if you're purchasing the faster items. Kebabish also delivers, but only until midnight so eat before you drink! Cheap and good value, especially as it's BYOB.

I usually get slightly overwhelmed with so much choice, but for some reason that is never the fact here, maybe it is because there is literally a food for every mood! there is... Pakistani, Chinese, Italian, Mexican American and British. It is also quite an attractive place to dine, there are huge glass windows to two sides of the restaurant which let in alot of light during the day, the atmosphere has always been chilled when I have gone, never noisy or rammed.. all in all quite a tranquil setting, even I suppose for the lobsters awaiting their demise in a tank by the entrance! The service is friendly but sometimes seems a little chaotic in busy periods, this have never detracted from my experience though, as the food is good... not earth shattering though. Considering the surrounds and choice, put that together with the reasonable pricing, and you are on to a winner! Expect to pay around £7 for a main course! Certainly a nice place to go with a group of friends, especially in no one cab decide what type of food to plump for! You can order take away food from here too.

The music seemed slightly disjointed with the Mexican food we ordered. The food came promptly and the portions were generous. We shared a three starter dishes for £12.99 which I thought was a nice touch; enabling us to try 3 different dishes for a reasonable price. The crispy chicken bites were particularly good. My friend was disappointed at the small number of wraps he got with his fajita but was given more on request with no extra charge. His fajita mix (I tried it) was delicious. My steak enchiladas were decent but didn't pack as big of a flavour punch as I was hoping for. On the whole it was a decent and filling meal for a not unreasonable price but I do not think I'll be rushing back.

Or perhaps they don't need to and it is just a play pet project for the owners who also own Seamark (the building next door) Hulme is not a nice area and it really is an odd place to have a restuarant such as this, bit out the way and not a place I recommend for a nice stroll. The decor is great and they spent millions of pounds designing it, so you will certainly be in awe of the place. However the food is not so grand. It is by no means bad but come on!!!!! This is Manchester and as fellow yelpers would testify there is a massive choice for diners and to be honest when it comes to food alone this place falls short of a few places I can think of. As I said the food is ok, and the place is well worth checking out once, but will you return there on a regular basis?? I think not. Oh, and I have no idea who thought it was a good idea to make this brochure that you can pick up on your way out, but it did make me cringe. Awful design and a blatantly staged picture with a rather lairy looking Ryan Giggs with an accompanying caption which read "regular customers" made me just think "school boy error!!!!!!!!" So perhaps its not so much the place, which is great, nor the food, which is not bad. It's just.... it seems the owner put a lot of time, effort and money into the place and left it for a bunch of monkeys to run... But hey I took me madre here on her birthday and she loved it. The ambiance of the place. So much so she didn't really care what the food was like. I imagine that sentiment is echoed quite alot..... So 3*s is about right me thinks...A-ok indeed fellow yelpeeps.. The service is top notch and I cannot herald the staff enough for their warmth and friendliness. As a stranger on my own, I was made to feel so at home. As a huge bonus, they have my absolute favourite dessert in the world, Oymali, which I last had in Cairo. As a grand finale when I returned for a second night in a row before driving onward to York, they personally made sure that I had a helping of faluda. Basically this place does amazing Middle Eastern/Lebanese cuisine and on this occasion with it being Friday lunch time, I popped in just as they were doing their all you can eat buffet. For £11.95 I tucked into some amazing kofta, breads, dips, salad, wings - wow, so much great food just check out my snaps - plus there was lovely cake and pudding included to follow. In the heart of where else but Manchester's curry mile will you find..... wait for it... BEIRUT!?…read moreYes that is indeed right. Nope its not a randomly named curry house, Beirut serves food deliciouso Lebanese-o! For those not in the know, Manchester's curry mile has seen a mini Middle eastern revolution of its own. The Mile of curry is now equipped with a plethora of Shisha bars as well as restaurants such as Beirut. In honestly of alls, my first impression of the place was not great. The capital could be described as chaotic from the kids running around whilst parents going to town on their meat feasts to the directionless type waiting staff, more laid back than the kobedas on show. First impressions however don't last and I'm here to announce that the food thankfully did make a lasting impression. I'd personally recommend the mixed grill, even if I struggled to get through half of it. Don't be put off by the cover, its the contents of the book that count. If Beirut was a book, I would highly recommend it, it was a great read.
