I highly recommend Casper Funeral & Cremation. I prepaid for a cremation for my mother online. When she passed, the two people they sent to pick her up put a flag over her because she was a veteran. I was so touched by that. Everyone involved was so incredibly helpful answering questions and giving updates throughout the process. read more

They made the whole process extremely easy. During trying times it's easy to get taken advantage of. I contacted 3 funeral homes in preparation to a family member dying. Our local one came in with the cheapest cremation costs. A friend recommended Casper and it was almost half the cost from what our family funeral home quoted us. That was with a discount as well! I called Casper about 2 months beforehand and they were very detailed and provided all the info that was needed. I had multiple phone calls with them and they were able to assist me even though I was in California. I mostly spoke with Jake and Colton during this process. When I arrived Saturday was the only day I could go down and we had a snowstorm the day prior. Roads were pretty bad and they were able to accommodate me even though they had a service going on. Parking can be a nightmare there, I parked a few blocks away near a barber shop. I would recommend this place to everyone!! I was truly blown away by their service and empathy. read more

Great service and staff. My loved one had a wake here in the states and then needed to be brought back to Central America, Casper staff did an excellent job facilitating this entire process. Not to mention, everyone was very kind and compassionate throughout the entire time. read more

They have handled 3 funerals and wakes for our family and always over-deliver. Great staff Good value. Only drawback is parking.

I have had great communications with Casper with many back-and-forth emails with them about their services, questions, the process etc. They are always prompt and professional. I finally decided to schedule an in-person meeting for more context and to view the location and potentially sign paperwork to seal the deal. They are economical and for what they do, I am impressed. My meeting was 30-minutes late but they were very apologetic and knowledgeable. read more

I contacted Casper funeral home for a cremation service for a relativ. They were recommended to me. I will say that from the first call I made to the until the ashes were delivere, these people couldn't have been better. Everyone I dealt with walked me through everything and made everything easy. As an out-of-towner whose mother died unexpectedly and alone in Boston, after being transferred there from the Vineyard where she lived, divine intervention clearly led my brother to select Casper in mid-May of this year to help us with our mom. Not only was the cremation service reasonably priced, but Dave Casper would have been entitled to--but never did--request additional payment for the heroic lengths his family went to for us after an agonizing situation. Brigham and Young Hospital sent Mom to the ME's office without informing us, which nearly denied any family seeing her body to bid goodbye one last time (none of us were present at her death.) The warmth, extreme competence, and extraordinary extra time and effort made Casper Funeral Home our saving grace. Dave Casper and the entire staff not only handled our frustration and anger compassionately but also sprung into action by calling the medical examiner's office every half an hour, letting us base ourselves at the home and giving us an extraordinary amount of attention and comfort on that awful Tuesday, May 20,2025, even sitting with us after it was clear nothing would make the ME release the body that day in time for my brother to see his mom one last time before his job demanded he be back in Maui the next day. Only because of Dave's unparalleled professional reputation and willingness to engage nonstop to help us, did I manage to see my mom one last time before she died, a viewing they managed under brutal time pressure to accommodate me before I had to leave Boston. The magic was in Dave Casper's diplomatic, kind and intelligent approach to everything, and his immediacy in attending to our needs at the 11th hour, such as having Father Kennedy appear with me at the viewing. I will never forget his son, Coulton, leading me in on his arm and praying with me and Father Kennedy over Mom's body. As a long-time journalist with an astute sense of what defines first-class professional service, I was blessed to have been helped by Dave Casper and, just as much his darling son, Coulton, from the height of the nightmare the hospital and ME had caused, to the dignified beautiful end this funeral home gave me with seeing Mom one last time. read more

Casper's is a community of healers, of people who help people accept the transition of a loved one to the next world. They are exceptional at what they do. They helped us navigate and integrate the different spiritual traditions of 3 churches, two different cultures, and the broken heart of one only child as she made the plans to bury her father. She was being pushed around by her family members to do what they wanted and David said, " I'm worried for her. I don't want her to be bulled by her family" David Casper attended the burial. He listened for ways he could serve. To that point, after he heard the pastor look for dirt to throw on the casket, he went across the way to go get a shovel with dirt. He stood quietly holding it until the daughter was ready to say her final, final goodbye. . read more

I am incredibly grateful to Casper Funeral and Cremation Services . Taking care of our loved one's final arrangements is not a task many of us are familiar with at least I know in my family I was not familiar with the process. My sister was admitted to hospice last week after a long battle with cancer , my face went pale when I was asked what funeral home I intended to use it was also recommended I contact them in advance I blurted out the funeral home our family had always used in the past but felt no connection to them at all I was unable to even find pricing on their website. That was alarming and led me to google cremation services and thankfully led me to Casper they are completely transparent and very affordable with no hidden fees I found them to be incredibly responsive compassionate and knowledgeable from the very first phone call All of my questions were answered with patience and kindness Their process is so simple online document signing can be so daunting especially at a difficult time.as soon as the paperwork was completed I received a call to let me know and to inform me they would handle the rest and they absolutely did I highly recommend Casper Funeral and Cremation Services for anyone who is faced with making arrangements for a loved one either right at the end of life or to preplan funeral arrangements. BOTTOM LINE: Casper Cremation Services is outstanding in all respects, from an efficient cremation process to empathetic staff to remarkable affordability. DETAILED REVIEW: When my sister passed away in Boston, I flew from California with the goal of selecting the highest quality cremation service that would not only do the final honor to my sister's remains but would also help us maneuver through and simplify needed administrative and legal steps. I visited or telephoned several recommended Cremation services in the Boston area, but felt that all of them lacked a genuine personal touch and presented as dispassionate businesses. My last phone call was to the Casper Funeral Services and had a pleasant interaction that proficiently articulated the various cremation options and services, costs, and timetables. Most importantly, however, was their friendly and kind treatment that felt very personal, caring, and tailored to our individual situation. For these reasons, I chose Casper Cremation Services to help us memorialize our sister's cremation with minimal distractions. Following the cremation, my Brother and I went to the Casper Funeral Home to receive my sister's remains. We expected this particular moment to be very sad and agonizing, and, of course, it was. However, we are very grateful to Rosie, the Casper representative who conveyed my sister's ashes to me, for her expert, empathetic, and very compassionate way of helping us soften the sorrow we felt. Her support was incalculable, and without a doubt, could not have been matched at any price by Casper's competitors. In short, we think that Casper Funeral Service provided superior service that far exceeded my expectations. read more

I am pre-planning for my aunt. Did it all over the phone. Everyone at Casper was very helpful and knowledgeable. I much prefer having the plans done and the price locked in. Your payment is kept is an individual trust account, so it is more than safe. Highly recommended. read more

I had to arrange a cremation for a dear friend's elderly brother because she herself lived in another state and was unable to travel due to chronic illness. She called and told me about Casper Funeral Services, so I immediately contacted them. They listened to my problem, I paid them upfront, and then they went right to work. They retrieved the body, which had been in the morgue for over 2 weeks. They processed all of the additional required "red tape" stuff (because I wasn't a relative), and had the body cremated as soon as possible. I was contacted when the remains were ready for pickup. I picked them up and delivered them for scattering to the place designated by my friend. In summary, I was very pleased with how this funeral home handled this situation. I simply explained my issue, they did their job and within a few days, handed me the remains in a neatly sealed container to dispose of at my discretion. I would recommend them to anyone who is on a tight budget and/or who just wants a simple, no-frills cremation done. Thank you, Casper Funeral Home! read more

Casper Funeral deals with the difficult business of loss with compassion, integrity, and professionalism. I have used their services twice, the first time for my father's cremation in 2015 and more recently for my brother's in 2021. Both times I coordinated the process from across the country and found them to be incredibly accommodating, efficient, and supportive. All of the necessary forms are online and they are very responsive to inquiries. Not only do they offer the best price, but they went above and beyond to help out our family. It is hard to lose a loved one, but the Casper family lightens the load by attending to all the details with expertise. Look no further, you have found the best place. read more

Amazing service, value, and compassion. No upselling or hidden fees. Dave took all the worry away. Highly Recommended.

My husband's mother passed away in hospital and we had decided to use Casper for a simple cremation. They quoted one price which they honored, and offered a service to order an urn if we chose to, but there was no pressure. My husband's questions were handled courteously. Most impressive was when we were having trouble getting to the office to pick up her ashes. The founder of the company, David, was going to be in our area and delivered them to us himself. You couldn't ask for better service. Highly recommend! read more

Our beloved mother passed away at home and we were dreading the pick up and transporting of mom out of our home the most! The two gentlemen who came to pick mom up were very kind, giving us all time to say goodbye and listening to our stories of mom who died at 94 and by the way not from covid "surprise"! They laughed when told mom was still golfing from the men's tee at 92 years of age! They would be passing several golf courses on the way back to Dorchester I'm sure! Kind of like a last hurrah! These men handled moms body like she was a precious jewel and in a dignified manner. They should be commended for a job well done! Making the arrangement for this was very easy and they were very efficient and understanding as this was such a hard time for us all! I highly recommend Casper Funeral Home and have offered their information to our local hospice offand read more

My first experience with the Casper family was when I prepaid for my mother's cremation in 2008, she passed in 2009 with their help everything went without a hitch. As a result of this experience, I prepaid for my Cremation along with my husband's and brothers. Recently my brother passed and with the help of David and Emily the final touches were done with ease and understanding. I had no doubt as to how helpful this family is to those who lose loved ones. My prior experience with my mother's arrangements had much to do with that trust. read more

Admittedly we were drawn to Casper due to the low cost of cremation services compared to other places but we ended up getting so much more. During grief it was so nice to not be faced with a funeral home trying to upsell every aspect, we knew we wanted just basic services. We arranged for services when we knew death was imminent. The process was seamless and the employees we encountered were professional, respectful and compassionate. We would definitely recommend these services and would use them again should be need to. read more

I cannot begin to express how grateful we are for the service that was offered during this stressful time. The caring and compassion is outstanding. We did not have a lot of money and my Mom wanted to be cremated. I was hesitant about searching online by price, but we made the best choice. My Mom died at home in S. Dartmouth and from the time I notified Dave Casper of her passing to the day of the memorial service Dave and Joe were on top of everything. The medical examiner caused a delay in the cremation and Dave was at the crematorium at 7:00AM to pick up the ashes and he met us in Bridgewater at 8:00AM to make sure we had them for the service that day. Just the best. read more

I reached out to Casper Funeral & Cremation without thinking that it was a weekend day. Ken Casper picked up right away and spent a good amount of time explaining the process I'd be going through as well as reassuring me that things would be ok. I offered a down payment and Ken told me that was unnecessary. He said I should take some time and concentrate on my Mom. As things progressed I was treated with great care. Casper's kept in good communication with me, always expressing concern and empathy. I feel content with their professionalism in taking care of both my Mom and me. Thank you to everyone there!
