I'll only say that Glen made our night more memorable than we ever could have imagined, and all the girls in our bachelorette party wish to heartily recommend his "services". Our spare was flat, and tow trucks can only take 1 passenger, which would have left my two toddlers and I stranded on the very dangerous interstate. He was the only taxi or shuttle service in the area, and as soon as I explained our situation, he immediately came to get us. There was no hesitation or question, and he came as soon as he could. He got to us within 20 minutes, and safely took my two little girls and I into Gainesville so we could wait for the new tires. He was so sweet, and immediately went above and beyond to help us. I hope to never be in that situation again, but if you're near Winstar and need a ride, he's the first person I'd call.

He made comments about "Japanese apologies" to an Asian American band director in the group. He tried to refuse to take extra people back to the hotel one evening. This was after one of the other drivers refused to pick up passengers because the driver only had 7.5 hours of downtime. He also made comments to the kids of how he would laugh if any of them flew through the windshield while getting up to use the restroom. I got to see video of him looking at his cellphone while he was rolling down the interstate with a bus full of high school students and parents. Everyone made it back despite Miguel's lack of professionalism.

This one is really, really nice. We went there once in July or August of this past summer. There was an attendant outside to point us to the platform for parking the jet ski for refueling and he actually handled the refueling itself. He was very friendly and told us about the courtesy docks (they have ample courtesy docks as well as separate transient docks and, no, I don't know what transient docks are). So, after refueling, we scooted over and tied up in a courtesy slip and walked up to the restaurant. The boat launch looks nice, pretty straight forward, and no one was launching. It didn't look busy at all. It looks like a 2 boat ramp, maybe a 3 boat if experts. I didn't notice where the trailer parking was. The camping sites (for RVs) looked nice, tree-lined, and had a good view of the lake. I don't remember seeing any tents, so this may be for RV camping only. One bonus, there is also a convenience store across the street nearby the camping and next door to the restaurant. That means you aren't tied to the marina store hours. The restaurant was okay. Nothing to write home about. I think we had hamburgers? Honestly, I don't remember the food too well, so that says a lot. But on the lake, it doesn't have to be great - just accessible and decent. The lodging is behind the restaurant and they are single wide trailers. While that may not sound great, it means that your parking is GREAT if you are hauling a trailer. We've found the trailer to be a real problem at other places. We haven't stayed here so I'll leave that to another reviewer but I don't see how you could have a good view of the lake from the trailers. You, however, have great access to everything you need for a great weekend.

He's very friendly and wants visitors happy. The internet is top notch, 5G service. The older couple that managed this place have moved on so no more biting chihuahuas. The pool is OPEN. The cafe has had major upgrades and they host karaoke and line dancing nights. The retreat areas are locked b/c these are rooms for guest to stay in and probably not to be dirtied by people who just wanna looksy. This place is peaceful and quiet. You can play pickleball, basketball OR have a bonfire if the weather permits AND they have farm animals in the back that are so cute! Roosters, turkey, goats, pigs, ducks, rabbits. You can just walk over and they come up to you. You're also around 6 minutes to the lake and 12 minutes to downtown Gainesville. There was no WiFi for the RV sites, so we had to use a Verizon hotspot. We stayed on the end of the second row, close to the hotel, and our connection on our phones and hotspot would drop off every 5 minutes. There are laundry facilities in the hotel, but they are locked, so you have to get the laundry room unlocked to use. I cannot speak to the hotel rooms. The ranch is picturesque, with cool buildings that are all locked up tighter than Alcatraz. There is a pool, but the pool house is locked up. There is no dog park, although there are some pens that can be used if you secure the gate. There are some dogs that are allowed to wander freely off leash. Beware the Chihuahuas, as one of them nipped me and my husband on separate occasions.
