They had a dj that night and the music was filling the whole neighbourhood, so we decided to see what was happening. It is an apartment on the first floor with a couple of rooms and a great terrace/patio on the back. The atmosphere is really really nice and we had a fun night there. They closed around 2.30 though, so maybe next time I would go earlier and also try the food! In my past Lisbon trips I hadn't been to this area of town and it was a very pleasant discovery: there are also other nice bars and shops around.

This place was recommended to me by one of my best friends (and knowing how picky she is, I blindly trust her) and she did not disappoint. It wouldn't be a stretch to say I had the best grilled salmon of my life. Did I mention live music?! Everything about this place makes me smile. Oh, and DONT YOU DARE SKIMP ON DESSERT. Go on a walk later, and have 2 chocolate cakes, and a Portuguese tiramisu and you can thank me later. Thiago, thank you for making our time (and birthday celebration) here absolutely unforgettable. We might come back tonight, because honestly...we miss you and Ma already. Everyone else? Do yourself a massive favor and GO.

The sound quality is always excellent, and the musicians never fail to please. I've seen techno, electronic, indie-ballads, and more at this wonderful, intimate venue. If MusicBox's single bar was well stocked, I would give this place five stars. Unfortunately, the drinks are a bit boring and overpriced. That being said, entry is always quite affordable so you can afford to spend a bit on drinks if you haven't had enough pre-drinks outside.

Although the…read morebreakfast buffet was large and attractive looking, it was rather expensive and we just wanted something smaller. We told the server we'd like to order from the menu; it took awhile for her to return to actually give us menus and take the orders -- 30 minutes later our food had not arrived (it was only omelettes). We joked amongst ourselves that they must've been waiting for the chickens to finish laying the eggs! My husband got up to ask our server, who hadn't been past our table since taking the order, if we could get our food and she looked perplexed. When she then brought the plates to the table it was obvious that all four dishes had been sitting on the counter in the kitchen for a long time -- the hash browns were cold and congealed and the eggs were rubbery and cold with a strange flavor. Two of the four omelettes were even the wrong combination of ingredients! We ended up walking out and the manager apologized and said our room would not be billed; I think they should've offered us something from the buffet at that point. I suggest you don't bother with it unless you want the $25 buffet; and I can't really comment on the quality of what was on those platters either. There's lots of great options in Lisbon for breakfast, choose one of those instead.
