There's only enough room for two people to be taken care of at a time and it's quite small in there. The whole entire place smells like stale beer so that's kind of nasty and the employees didn't seem to speak English, but getting six cents per bottle and it was pretty nice. If you're bringing in a lot of empties, that extra penny makes it nice difference. They took care of me pretty fast. They don't take their time in there. They get the job done. There are carts inside they can bring outside to grab all your empties and then bring them in. If I'm coming down in that area again, I will definitely grab my empties again and bring them down.

You can't miss this place! Located in Depew, it boasts a barn-like facade and a sizeable parking lot. Lots of spaces up front so taking your bottles and cans in is made even easier. Inside, it's eclectically decorated and full of fun knick-knacks, so you'll have plenty to look at while you wait. And the most surprising thing: it is pristinely clean! No nasty smells or gross sights. The employees here are top-notch, too. They are very kind and accommodating -- if you need any help bringing your cans in, they'll give you a hand. And they're super fast-moving as well. I could never keep the numbers straight in my head, so I give them props for being so good at mental math! The machines allow you to dump recyclables in which is nice, but every time I've been, there's been a line of people with a gazillion recyclables. The machines aren't perfect either, and sometimes they reject things that are worth 5 cents so you have to bring those to get manually counted. There's also people who try to recycle things that obviously don't have a deposit (milk jugs, Gatorade bottles), so this also slows down the line. Tip: I recommend bringing someone with you to help unload your car and load the machines because there are no carts.

This time I had LOTS so I thought I'd give it a try. This business is unusual in that the business operates out of the building's side entrance. Parking is adequate, especially since the turn over rate here is surprising. I was met at the door by two very friendly employees who explained how this system works. They do everything. Just hand them the bags and stand back. The system operates so quickly that I was just barely able to keep up bringing bags in. The system is totally automated. Once the workers empty the bags into the sorting area everything is automatic. It's really amazing to watch as the bottles and cans are arranged and processed to a conveyor belt that takes them away. Everything is counted by computer. When finished, you're given a ticket that you take to a window where you are paid. Start to finish, 779 bottles and cans were processed in 6 minutes including getting paid I will never go anywhere else again.

This place is amazing. Forget the dirty, messy machines that constantly jam up and reject bottles at the grocery store. Forget going to other places of business and sorting your own bottles on the counter for return. Bottle Junction is an entirely different world! (How did I not know that this exists prior to this weekend?!) When you walk in, you're greeted by friendly staff who not only ask how your day is, but also offer to help unload totes and bags of bottles from your car. They also help you load them up on the counter in the store. Once everything is on the counter, they do all of the sorting for you! You just stand back, watch the magic happen, and wait until it's time to collect your refund. Easy peasy!
