You can't miss this place! Located in Depew, it boasts a barn-like facade and a sizeable parking lot. Lots of spaces up front so taking your bottles and cans in is made even easier. Inside, it's eclectically decorated and full of fun knick-knacks, so you'll have plenty to look at while you wait. And the most surprising thing: it is pristinely clean! No nasty smells or gross sights. The employees here are top-notch, too. They are very kind and accommodating -- if you need any help bringing your cans in, they'll give you a hand. And they're super fast-moving as well. I could never keep the numbers straight in my head, so I give them props for being so good at mental math! If you find yourself with a bunch of bottles and cans to trade in for some nice cash, I'd highly suggest coming to Bud's Bottle Barn. You can't beat the service!

I know I had more than they counted. I had 13 white kitchen bags popping out the top and I got…read morenothing close to the last place that's now closed and got over $44 in cans. Then to only get $20 at Can Counter as a joke and I felt robbed. Attendant was quiet rude and that's their job to count not ask me. If I had counted,I would have said I have 400 (est) returns. I had to deal with 5 children who rolled their eyes when I asked them to do something and he had more huffing and eye rolls than all 5 of them together. I wanted to tell him to get a different job if he doesn't like what he is doing. I had made the trip there several times before they were open. It says open get there and are closed. When I spoke to the owner she snapped at me for questioning the hours. As Rude as the kid I encountered. She said her business, her hours. She said she is often closed because she does breakfast with her friend and they go to yard sales. What? It's a business and there's no business. What's wrong with people like that? They are far from a business that provides a service to our community. I guess they found out that Tops has a restriction on how many returns they except, leaving Can Counter the only resource. Terrible business to deal with.

I mentioned to the staff that I couldn't stay long, as I was on my lunch break from my job at the squirrel taxidermy business down the road. The handsome young man behind the counter counted all of the cans in under 8 minutes. Typically a wealthy aristocrat such as myself, would not bother wasting time returning worthless hunks of aluminum. However, I donated 99% of the proceeds to the Max A. Krakowiak House for the Poor. The other 1% I spent on googly eyes and macaroni noodles for my stuffed squirrels. I will be sure to spread the word about this fine establishment with my extensive business network (however many of these individuals are not nearly as wealthy as myself). P.S. Thank you for letting me borrow the shower and toilet paper (they have 3-ply!!!!) as I was extra sweaty from saving a kitten from a tree (the tree was 660 ft tall).

When we drove up on the scale, it took a while for someone to come out. Since we were bringing in specialized metals, we were directed to proceed to a special area. It took a few minutes for someone to bring us the special bin we needed to put out cargo in. Sorting of the material was quick and easy. The employees were friendly and helpful but the facility seemed to be grossly understaffed. The outside space was efficiently arranged and despite the fact that it is a scrap yard it was surprisingly clean. I realize that scrapping is not for everyone but if you have junk lying about, call them and get their prices. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

This place is amazing. Forget the dirty, messy machines that constantly jam up and reject bottles at the grocery store. Forget going to other places of business and sorting your own bottles on the counter for return. Bottle Junction is an entirely different world! (How did I not know that this exists prior to this weekend?!) When you walk in, you're greeted by friendly staff who not only ask how your day is, but also offer to help unload totes and bags of bottles from your car. They also help you load them up on the counter in the store. Once everything is on the counter, they do all of the sorting for you! You just stand back, watch the magic happen, and wait until it's time to collect your refund. Easy peasy!
