It's a Wisconsin cheese burger pizza!!! It has pickles in it... hiding under a ton of oozing cheese (three types of Wisconsin cheese I believe) and burger meat. Sounds weird to you? No... you're weird for not liking delicious things. It is a slice of heaven. The bane of the lactose intolerant and the fear of cholesterol watchers. To sum it up, it is purely delicious. I don't I've four hours to g t this pizza. They open up at 4pm so I had to starve until the next afternoon, but it was worth it. I had this when I was in town back in 2004 and have thought about it for over a decade. I hope some of you yelpers get the chance to have this some day. It's not a glamorous joint so don't be a snob about it. It's a charming place that kicks out great grub. Support your locals!

Lots of TVs tuned into various games. You can get pretty strong drinks and food that's better than it looks. Certainly there's a greasy feeling about it. It's not exactly the cleanest or nicest but it's better than a whole lot of other places in town to go to. This mostly gets crowded on weekends. Actually it's never too crowded. There's happy hours on Wednesdays and Saturdays. It's about $7 for a basic cocktail. Whiskey and whatever. It's about $7 for most appetizers. The Giant Pretzel is great for sharing. Comes with a beer cheese or something else. The rest of the menu includes things like fish sandwiches. Good place to watch games. It's one of the few places around here that's open on Sundays. That makes sense because races are usually on the weekends.

I heard some good things about the pizza they serve so I figured I would give it a shot for myself. I placed a carry out order over the phone and was told it would be 20 minutes. The place wasn't that busy when I arrived, and it looked just like I remembered. There were two employees working and I spoke with both. They were both very friendly and my pizza was ready as promised. The crust was about par for the course around here. Not much taste outside of flour. The sauce was decent, and the toppings were plentiful. The cheese is the type mozzarella that turns a bit rubbery, but I must admit, I like that. All in all, I enjoyed the pizza, and the service was friendly. Was it my favorite pizza in Pontiac? No. But, I wouldn't hesitate to come back.

Pontiac, Illinois has quite a lot of Route 66 information. Museums, car museum and a quaint town…read moresquare. We walked from the car museum to Edinger's Filling Station for lunch. We couldn't have picked a better spot. We were seated immediately and notice the place was filled with mainly locals. Our server stopped by right away to take our drink order and ask us if we had any questions. She was so nice, so friendly, offered great recommendations and was fun to talk to. Mr. Bee ordered the Monte Cristo Wrap and I tried the house made veggie burger. The food came out quickly and was nice and hot. The Monte Cristo Wrap was really quite good and had a lot of nice flavors and was seasoned well. My veggie burger was different but delicious. It was also seasoned well and I managed to eat every last bite and thoroughly enjoyed it. I ordered a side of Fried Mac and Cheese and it too was very different than what you would expect. The mac and cheese is not shaped into balls, battered and fried. They take their mac and cheese and smash it down on the grill to cook it. So good. It had lots of crispy bits on it. The food was fresh and really well cooked. The place is like an old fashioned diner and friendly service with a smile. The atmosphere was fun, and everyone seemed friendly and were enjoying their meals. We were full, but when our server came by and said we have fresh made pies, Mr. Bee jumped on that bandwagon. We got a piece of coconut cream pie to go. We stopped in the park in the middle of the square where there are a few benches and picnic tables. We enjoyed our pie, it was scrumptious while enjoying the beautiful sunny day.

It's a pretty casual place that's better than it looks. Can get crowded but things ran smoothly last time in. The food is basic diner stuff with a few better things. A popular place for the local residents to gather. It's one of the many local bars and restaurants around here. This seems to be one of the better ones. Has the main dining area. While waiting for an order go check out the back with the gaming area to play slots. It's $2.50 for domestic beers. That's good. It's about $7 for appetizers. The Pretzel Bites are the best of these. Fluffy and comes with a dipping sauce, choice of beer cheese or something else. The rest of the menu features classics like breakfast including eggs, omelets, and toast, and lunch has things like burgers, fish, and pasta. For sure it's a place for locals as well as tourists looking for classic diners and grills. It's got a lot of various memorabilia. They're closed Sundays.
