Does anyone remember Jerry Krause, who used to own the old truck stop that was called "Milepost 194" who eventually sold it, and then bought the Town Pump bar on Main? Anyway, back to the Other Place. It's been 28 years since I had their Chicken Alfrado pizza, and I knew that being back in town that I just had to have one again. I have to say. The one I got served Friday, was NOT like I remembered. It was dry. I couldn't even tell there was alfredo sauce on the pizza? it seemed like crust, chicken and cheese. Granted, there was plenty of cheese and chicken, but the lack of sauce was dissapointing. I don't know if the alfredo sauce is made in house, or if it's brought in. maybe their destributor changed over the years, and they can't get the same sauce that they used 28 years ago. Maybe the business changed ownership and changes were made. I don't know. What I can tell you is that back in 1998, the Alfredo Chicken pizza was AMAZING. It was my go to. It was best thing on the menu. It was what I recommended to everyone I knew. The pizza I had during my recent visit was just.... Meh...

The crust is airy and baked just right. We love the Hawaiian (Canadian bacon and pineapple). We also tried the nachos as a starter and they were delicious. No dinner is complete without a couple of their goblet sized drinks- strawberry daiquiri and margarita are long-time favorites. Service is always friendly and they make an effort to get your food and drinks to you quickly. We go to other outdoor dining locations in Clear Lake- but we always return to GE-Jo's.
