Even though I'm banned from this establishment I still give this place 5 stars. I would label it to be an elegant dive bar. Even with it being a smoking bar, which is a dying breed, the air quality is great. If you like to play pool this place has probably the 2 nicest tables in west county. read more

Fantastic neighborhood dive bar tucked away in a strip mall. A true hidden gem - though beware: it is one of the last refuges for persecuted smokers. The ventilation is decent, so unless you're allergic or sensitive it won't be a problem. Unless you're looking for one. Great service, friendly staff. No food. read more

We wanted to keep our New Year's Eve low-key, so we decided to go to the little shopping center within walking distance from our home. So, we ended up here at Brother's. This wasn't our first trip to this bar, so we knew what to expect, or so we thought. We got there about 7:45. My husband went to get us a pitcher, where he was informed that we would get a better deal if we waited until 8pm and bought the $25 wristbands they were selling that would provide us with free beer, well drinks, and wine for the evening. However, we weren't interested in that seeing as we had just had a pitcher of margaritas from the mexican restaurant down the road. So, we decided we would just get a couple of pitchers and not spend $50 on two wristbands. We finished our pitcher, and decided we would like another before we hit the road. When we went to get another pitcher, they said they couldn't serve us because we weren't buying the wristbands. Seriously? If this were the case, why didn't they tell us this when we walked into the bar at 7:45? They had signs up all over the place touting how they NEVER charge a cover. But, I'm pretty sure that refusing to serve us because we wouldn't buy the $25 wristbands is essentially charging a cover. I could understand if we were keeping them from people who had bought a wristband, but there were 15 other people in there, tops. You would have thought they would want our business, even if we were just buying pitchers. I was pretty disappointed because I had high hopes for this bar. Oh well, we just went home and drank a bottle of wine, and kept a little money in our pockets. read more

Yet another dive bar...it definitely has that grimy, old-as-dirt feel, but it's a good enough place to spend an evening drinking it up. The bartenders are cool, and there are a ton of regulars. One of my friends used to go here quite often because she worked nearby, and it was always fun going with her because we got a ton of free drinks. Think "Cheers." There are also pool tables, which while not too original, is always fun. Yeah, this isn't a swanky place, but the drinks are strong and cheap. Sometimes it's nice to go to a place where you don't have to worry about dressing up or impressing anyone. Yes, this isn't my favorite hangout in the world, but I don't mind going here one bit. read more

Yes, this place is a total dive. But it's also a friendly locally owned establishment. The new owner is a young guy who really cares about what customers have to say, and he wants to do great business. They have karaoke nights and specials. Fun place for a group. This is a bar w/ cheap drinks & a good mix of ppl young & old, hot & not. You definitely get that neighborhood feel here because it seems that everyone went to highschool together or know eachother from local businesses. Bar owners are great because they always give me free shots which make me feel very welcome & always wanting to come back. To quote the great Hulk Hogan "Thanks Brother"!! This is my first bar and I've tried many others and none of the others really match up to the comfortableness that this one gives. There's a lot of great people. Great atmosphere. Great drinks and bartenders. And great events such as karaoke and trivia night where you can earn prizes. It's also conveniently located next to a imos pizza and a subway and is never too loud. I could never find another bar as awesome as this one is. And the owner is almost always there. read more

Well, first of all, it's not Brothers Bar anymore. It's Casey's Bar, and it sucks. I've been there many times when it was Brothers, and it was OK, but tonight showed me just how the new ownership (or at least the horrible bartender) treats its customers. The sign at the door said very clearly that all well drinks and domestic bottles were $3, and that's a good deal, right? When I got my tab, I had been overcharged on every drink. When I pointed that out to the bartender, she argued with me, and told me that was not the price. I told her that it's right on the sign when you walk in the door, even a patron sitting next to me said "Yeah, it's $3 you-call-its". The bartender grudgingly corrected my tab, did not offer an apology, and then got into a verbal war of words with me about it, calling me a "dick." Funny how when the customer really is right, the workers treat the customers like that. She then told me that I am not welcome back because they don't need customers like me. Too late--that bar clearly doesn't need or want my business. CAUTION: Watch your tabs at the end of the night, if you go there. Awesome experience--thanks, for the memories! Never again. read more

The best prices in town, the specials are unreal! I was shocked with the live music. Judging by the earlier reviews, this place has greatly improved. I went to the last Halloween party and the costumes were better than any I've seen. I've been told not to miss a New Years party by some of the locals & it's my destination this year. read more

Smoking bar, so if you don't like smoke don't go there! BUT this place is always fun! Pool tables, darts and a great jukebox. The staff are all friendly and they have live music on saturdays. I recomend this place for the dive bar fans! read more
