I contacted Utterly Organised to assist in packing my belongings up for a move. I requested Matt…read morecome over to see the situation I was dealing with. I was clearing out a house I shared with my late husband. This was a very chaotic move since I was not only clearing out my belongings but my adult step children's as well as my late husband's belongings some of which were prior to our marriage and also his 1st wife (deceased) . I am disabled due to chronic illness and severe stenosis and arthritis in my back. The house was a mess and I wanted Matt to understand the situation to make sure he was able to help. He said he needed 2 weeks ( 4 days each week) and I discussed a flat rate which was very generous $8000. He did end up adding 3 extra days to make up for 2 sicks days that he was out. At the end I added an extra $500 since he did add an extra day and work some extra hours. I thought he had only left a few things undone. After he left I found boxes in every room of the house still open and only partially filled and many items not packed at all. As we were going through the outside shed which had a lot of tools and bikes and ladders (just to name few things) he seemed more interested in keeping things for himself then donating. My neighbor inquired on a few things and I said they could have what they wanted. Matt seemed upset that he couldn't keep a number of items. My neighbor has been so great and I wanted her to have them. I shouldn't have to explain this to him of what I want done with any particular item. In other words if I want to give something to my neighbor it's mine to give not his to sell. My front doorbell camera was broken and the second porch camera stopped working whike they were on the job. I believe as far as the doorbell camera he may have bumped it going in and out while carrying stuff. When asked about the camera he denied knowing anything but it was only myself , Matt and his assistant going in and out that door. Now on the other side of the move I opened numerous boxes of items that were to either be disposed of or donated. This makes my unpacking a DISORGANIZED mess. I have more stuff here than I need and it adds a physical difficulty for me that I don't need right now. I will have to call a junk company( another extra expense) to haul away items he would not carry to the dumpster I rented (at his request) to the tune of $1000! I prepared for the packing ahead of time by purchasing boxes, tape, bubble wrap, and packing paper and large garbage bags. None of what purchased met his approval. The boxes didn't have handles and weren't the ones from the store he preferred. I didn't order wardrobe boxes because I didn't care if my clothes got folded and put in regular boxes. ( Note: he over filled one of the wardrobe boxes that it collapsed during the move and I still have a number of unused wardrobe boxes I won't need) I ended up ordering all new supplies to make him happy instead of him adapting to the supplies I spent over $150 on. Lastly I sent him a text as I began to realize how much was a new chaotic mess (before the move but after he left) He tried to gaslight me and deflect. Stating that it was only one or two boxes left open and partially packed. I told him that he is the owner of his business and he needed to accept responsibility for this. He never apologized nor offered to help in some way to make it right As I'm unpacking I'm finding items that never ever should have been moved here. I instructed them 95% of where each item needed to go. He only packed a few items on his own. I can understand a little confusion and a mistake here and there but not half the boxes packed wrong. I accept responsibility for how much of a mess my home was and how confusing the situation was BUT that's why I had him come over to see the house before accepting the job . Now I'm left unpacking an utterly disorganized mess as well as still clearing out the old house that should have gone in the dumpster. Beware of this business
