Case came recommended from a friend but what a disappointment. After spending a lot time and several phone calls discussing our legal case, we were told he would review all the information and get back to us. We never heard from him again, despite several messages to follow up. He didn't even have the common courtesy to call us back to say he couldn't take the case or there was no case or whatever. It was a complete waste of time and for that we cannot recommend this attorney. You are better off finding an attorney that can communicate with you, be honest with you and not waste your time. Your attention to other clients that you can help is completely understandable but so is common courtesy to simply tell us you couldn't help in our case. That never happened. Moreover, you made a comment to a family member in which you mentioned that you assumed we found another attorney but of course we all know what happens when you assume. Hopefully you have learned from this and despite how busy you were/are you will simply reach out to your clients who you say "can really use your help" to let them know whats going on. Current on my payments, as she was also awarded attorney's fees to be paid by oppposing party. But she just quit , leaving me to endure severe and devastating heart ship that would not have occurred had i had legal support. I needed legal advice and was referred to Case Barnett Law. I called and left my name and number with their receptionist and a few hours later Case Barnett called me. I briefly explained to him I was unable to speak with him at length. He said not to worry and gave me his personal number and said to call him back later that evening. Before you hand over that retainer seated in the conference room, ask to see her office. Find out if she'll disappear for weeks to help in handling a "criminal law" case. Understand the understaffed situation upfront and realize the phone may not be answered or calls not returned for weeks. She spent a year gathering documentation she didn't review, jotted notes right before a big meeting that were off by 100k (oops), and I later learned that I was the scapegoat with opposing counsel as being the reason she did not produce things on time because she wasn't prepared. There was only one action she took in a motivated and determined way and it was solely for her financial protection. The case was handled far less than poorly and I was not represented. I can't turn back time but I hope this review provides for you to do a lot more due diligence than I did before you move forward in your decision. read more

Rose claims Mrs Duncan is motivated solely by monetary gain . I can say she has been my lawyer since 2007 and is the ONLY reason I have a relationship with my kids. Despite the huge hole I buried myself in before we met she was able to step in and put a leash on me while she navigated the legal system to get me 50/50 custody. A task many lawyers said would take years if ever for me to accomplish. My hard times and x wife quickly left me without a penny to my name. Instead of giving up on my kids and I Mrs Duncan has faught to this day because she believes these kids need a father. The last two years and countless court hearings she has taken me on Pro Bono and never obligated me to repay her in any way. So for Rose to say money drives this woman is completely ignorant and borders defamation. Maybe Rose you are not the saint you think you are and despite Mrs Duncan's numerous talents you are beyond redemption.
