Ordering was a bit confusing. The waiter didn't seem to speak English. Some of the menu items were displayed in a case that included quite an array. We finally asked for something similar to a small charcuterie board, and of course asked for the house wine. Before long it arrived and after we started to eat another gentleman was escorted to our table and placed his own lunch order. He didn't speak any English and but we exchanged pleasantries. Soon after another gentleman he knew joined us. Then shortly there after another, who spoke English and we had quite a nice conversation together. We indeed enjoyed the food and low key atmosphere. But we will always remember these 3 retired architects who met decades ago when they came to take advantage of the lunch special and got to be friends. They also suggested a couple of things to see that weren't suggested by our guide that we later did go to see. It's why we love to go places the locals like!
