UPDATE: My review has been reduced from three stars to one after the erroneous and misleading response by the owner. I expressed low tones and zero aggression. I called to ASK if they could fit my husband in before two weeks his dentist offered and I even offered to give up my appointment on his behalf. They said no so I was fully intending to come to my appointment prior to being unceremoniously dismissed. I never cancelled my appointment, they did. I have only cancelled ONCE and that was due to illness and a snow storm. It's a shame Dr Adams chose to belittle me rather than take accountability for the unprofessional behavior of his office manager. In just less than 24 hours I have received dozens of messages from community members who echo my abhorrent experience with their office. . . . . I used to sing the praises of Dr Adams with Cascadia dentistry in Stanwood but let me tell you folks a story of today. I went in (not for the first time) for a simple check on my teeth a couple weeks back and he did a great job fixing my chipped tooth so I made a series of appointments to not only ensure the health of my teeth with x-rays and teeth cleaning but a full set of invisalign including the upfront exam costs of $600 with the plan that I'll also need a night guard after any and all treatment because I grind my teeth. We're talking over $8000.00 worth of treatment and that doesn't even count what my very GOOD insurance will cover. At the advice of their "front desk staff" I acquired $6500.00 additional in Care Credit which is a line of credit (credit card) to pay for these expenses up front because they don't have in house financing. Okay I was fine with that. What I'm not fine with is this: I had to cancel my secondary appointment because I was sick and if anyone of you have ever been to a doctor or dentist lately you KNOW they REQUIRE you to be healthy and require masks and hand sanitizer before coming in. We were also in the midst of a local snow storm, no one should be expected to drive in hazardous conditions. I promptly rescheduled and the staff was gracious.......at that time. Fast forward to today. My husband developed a severe cracked tooth over this weekend (today is Monday) and saw a different dentist today who couldn't get him back in for his extraction for two more weeks. So I called my beloved dentist to see if they could help him. I was even willing to give up my appointment tomorrow for him even though I didn't want to and expressed this sweetly and succinctly. We have the exact same dental coverage. I was simply enquiring if they could give him care before the two weeks his other dentist offered. After explaining the situation I was met with hostility from their office manager Laura stating I wasn't a good fit for their practice and I need to find another dentist. I was DEVASTATED. And why? It's because I cancelled my appointment because I WAS SICK and we had a SNOW STORM and I was WILLING to give my new appointment to my husband because he's in extreme pain and my appt was just for x-rays and a consult. I was clearly flexible on that and had ZERO intentions of canceling my appointment if they couldn't get him in. This was merely a fact finding mission to help my husband get into a dentist sooner than 2 weeks. If Dr Adams or his staff tries to refute this it would be nothing more than a fabrication. I informed them I would be making this post at the end of our conversation and I was told specifically they didn't care. I will never again recommend Cascadia Dentistry. Despite my low tones, honesty and acquiescence They not only refused to see my husband (which is fine, they were booked) but they also refused to honor the appointment for myself tomorrow that I've waited weeks for. So do yourself a HUGE favor and don't waste your time with Dr Adams or his staff, if things don't go perfect on their schedule they'll drop you like a dead fly and couldn't care less about your dental health or you as an individual. I was also told when I asked to speak with Dr Adams and I quote from Laura "He won't talk to you that's what he has me for". She did however provide an email address for him which in all likelihood she monitors. If anyone has a recommendation of a compassionate and dedicated dentist and orthodontist I'll be taking my thousands of dollars of business to them. FYI I have sent a copy of this post to Dr Adams whether Laura intercepts it or not. Thank you for listening. I hope your experiences with them are better than mine. I'm giving this company 3 stars not because they deserve it from my experience but because their dental assistant is TOP NOTCH and I'm really Hoping the doctor is better than this. read more

Well I'm pretty unhappy and have waited two weeks to calm down and find some redeeming words to say about this place. Now you know he's a younger dentist and maybe he just does t understand the dynamics of being a gentle and understanding soul. Maybe Dr. Adams is ok with hiring people like Laura who has mastered being rude, ugly and demeaning. She managed to belittle my husband with her smirky crap. Her being ugly only makes her ugly....it's hard to get past because I had always had a different view of her before the last year. Laura has some serious issues with honesty along with changing her mind as to when and if she will file all the claims. Honestly it's like watching chaos with a side of unprofessional attitudes that simply have no place in any Business but Its all the more egregious in a dental practice. Our trust with the entire staff is at an all time low bar. I can tell you from the time he took over the place it has become a place of money making and not of actual care. They are so busy up selling you all kinds of things like $700 bite/night guards. When my husband asked Laura about a charge she became outraged and indignant that someone would question her very existence as the office manager. Upon the following visit she demanded the bill paid in a loud and demeaning way. She embarrassed yet another patient who we are friends with upon her we don't trust you to pay your bills shenanigans. At this point I'm not sure the crown had to be replaced. The replacement ones don't feel right even now. Are these crowns of lower quality or just a seating issue? But honestly how many times can you get charged for something that should be done perfectly the first time based on the degrees Dr Adams has. Let me be perfectly honest here I am sad that Jeremy will not be cleaning my teeth ,as he has always exceeded my expectations. I am taking their billing to A forensic accountant friend of mine to figure out what other nonsense they pulled because frankly there's just no telling what else we were charged for. I'm simply beside myself. I have had amazing dentist In the last 30 years but frankly Dr Adams may indeed be the worst overall experience my husband and I have received. We are so disgusted with them we are willing to leave their practice without completing the half done treatment on the treatment plan. Which has been completely paid for. I would not trust their crazy billing anymore than I'd trust the dentist himself. Don't bother with complaining to them. Pandering from front desk who defended Laura's natural state of meanness. Or the dentist calling after writing a letter ( we sent it certified as trusting Laura was already an issue) the dentist did call but later was acting as if NOTHING had happened. When your big deal is not treated like it's an actual issue then you can pretty well know what's truly important to these people. Save yourself the demeaning greetings you will get here after they get your money by being easy nice. They want your money more then providing outstanding dental care. And if your disabled or have other medical issues that require them to adjust to your medical needs just forget it all together, this is not the place for you. Love Dr. Adams. Loathe his office manager. She is extremely condescending and her communication skills are abhorrent. My entire family has been going here for years and we all enjoy Dr. Adams and all of the hygienist and receptionists. They're all lovely people. But I we will no longer tolerate her treatment of patients or her unpleasant attitude and unprofessional behavior. I can see from previous reviews that there are similar comments and that others have had similar experiences and when trying to correct the situation they were met with perfunctory and defensive responses from his office. I highly recommend this office! My husband and I have both been patients of Cascadia Dentistry and Dr. David Adams since he began at the clinic and are extremely impressed with the care we always receive. Every member of the team is positive, personable, professional, thorough, efficient, and helpful. Dr. Adams uses the latest equipment and techniques, which means the extensive reconstructive work we have both had done by him is a great success. He makes every effort to explain thoroughly what he thinks needs to be done, and never pressures us to choose any particular option. X-rays are used in a judicious manner, and the dental hygienists have improved the health of our teeth and gums. Our insurance is readily accepted and processed by the office, which eliminates a lot of bureaucratic headaches for us. We have had many different dentists in our seventy-four years and can, as a result, objectively and favorably compare Cascadia Dentistry to all the other clinics that have treated us. In fact, Dr. Adams is the best dentist we have ever encountered. We would recommend Dr. Adams and the entire Cascadia Dental Practice to our friends and family without hesitation. It's unfortunate that Adams is allowing his office manager Laura Tuttle to run patients away. Her attitude is condescending at best. It has become painful obvious in the years since Rafoth left that she has been given too much free reign over the office. Bottom line is this once caring office has become just another profit over patient establishment. The hygienists however are all lovely, as is the receptionist. I've been defending this place for years because I do like Adams but he needs to get his office in order. Hostility is not something I'm willing to pay for. I do not recommend this office. As a new patient I was asked to submit my insurance information on line. When I went for my appointment they said the info did not go through and they had trouble with their computer program. They then asked me to sit down at a desk in their office and redo it for them. They finally said they got the info so I had my appointment. The dental hygienist was excellent, however I got a bill for almost the entire charges because they did not bill my primary insurance. I went in to see what could be done and offered to pay it while they rebilled my primary. They said there was no need to pay. I never got an EOB from my primary so I will verify with them if they ever were rebilled but received a collection letter. No rebill from them or call. read more

We have been coming here for the past three years and have seen both Jeremy and Emily for our cleanings. It has always been great service which we have always been pleased with especially in our little town of Stanwood. We were a little concerned when Dr. Rafoth left but the new dentist Dr. Adams is also great and pleasant. We have never had a problem and recommend them to any of our friends that are looking for a good, local dentist. Highly recommend. read more
