It is a bit costly but I would say it worth the price if you come regularly. It's also a great option for me as it includes the rental fees and I'd like to try different guns each time. The staffs are very helpful and friendly. One small thing to mention: They do provide shotguns for rental but the only standard option is KS7, which is cool if it's not jamming. I went to rent it twice and it both jammed. Staffs are nice as they switched Benelli M4 to me which was intended to be a "premium" rental. Would be nicer if they also provide 590/870/any other pump-action shotguns as standard options in the future. Apart from that, there's nothing I can complain. There was a time I went to the range with a friend who's shooting for the first time. Chris was very helpful and provides my friend with a quick but through intro and some other helps. For the shop: Great service. There's a young staff who is really friendly and helpful. No one would push you to make decisions here (which I like it) but you can always find helps if needed.

It's also a bit uncomfortable here vs Renton or Snoqualmie, even thought the staff has always been very nice. I'm glad it exists, but for the money I'd recommend Renton or Snoqualmie - especially if you want to shoot greater than 100 yards. If you are just wanting to shoot your shotgun to get comfortable with it, you'll find it MUCH easier here than Renton and faster to get started for a one off here & there vs Snoqualmie.

The club has a rifle line for targets 25 to 200 yards and a pistol line for targets out to 50 yards. There are several action shooting bays. Archery, air soft and air rifle use is still ongoing at the club which is open most days from 9 am to about 4 pm. The club sponsors a junior shooting team (ages 10-20) that uses precision air rifles and is looking for more shooters. All equipment is provied by the club, the parents only need to pay for the rifle pellets which are cheap.

Tacoma Rifle & Revolver Club was very welcoming, we have had help when needed from member and that is awesome! The Range safety officers are amazing, and we have even become friends with one of them. The club offers access for other than shooting fire arms, they have classes, they have Archery, Air Guns, an area for Rv's. For firearms enthusiasts there are center fire matches, bench rest matches, .22 rim fire matches, a mid week shooting league, a women's pistol league and much more. The range is safe, the facilities are clean, and the people are worth getting to know.

As it happens, I found out later that I can sign up for new member orientation to see the place before paying for a year's membership. If only their rep had said that. Super fun!! I came here today with a friend as a work event…read moreand it was such an amazingly insightful experience! We learned a lot about safety, police tactics and training. We had the opportunity to shoot a glock, semi-automatic rifle, shotgun, riot weapons (less lethal), sniper rifle, and automatic rifle. The police officers and swat team that lead the instructions were super friendly, welcoming and generally excited to teach us about their line of work. This was definitely a very enjoyable experience and something I highly recommend for the public to do to enlighten themselves.

Pretty accommodating to people of the club and for guests. Second time was on Tuesday, 12/26/23. Went in the afternoon, wasn't that packed at all. Maybe 10 others, at most for the handgun and rifle shooting range areas. Shot for a bit in the handgun range and then moved on to the rifle outdoor range to try out the AR and a Sniper Rifle. 100-200 yard targets were set. Enjoyed taking a few shots of each!!! Liked shooting the Sniper Rifle the most! Will be back again.

RO's and the rules are ancient and kind of ridiculous. Cant draw from holster or concealment, 1 shot per second, so on and so on. Action bays can only be used if you go attend a 2 day NROI class and get a "range officer" certification, even then you still have to be approved to use the bays during off time. If your into real training and defensive shooting this range will do nothing for you. Your better off finding a spot in the woods to yourself.
