Perfect for small NYC apartments but, over the years, the pleather started to crack and fall apart. I looked around for a similar bench with a real leather top, but none were as nice as mine and all were crazy expensive, more than $1200 (yikes!), so I decided to look into having the pleather replaced with real leather. I got a few quotes and one was from Sal. Of all the quotes, Sal's was the only one that included pickup AND delivery (I am in Manhattan and he is in NJ!) AND he mailed me a sample of the leather which I got in a few days. No one else could be bothered to do that, they all told me to come to their shops and look at samples, which meant I had to rent a car and take a day off work...no way. When Sal came to pick up the top of the bench (it comes off by removing a few screws in the hinges), we discussed the color and finish of the new leather, which was to match the old pleather. He kept me posted as to his progress via email and text, which I most appreciated. A week later, he called and said it was ready and we found a time for him to drop it off. When he arrived, he came inside and took the wrapping off the new top - it looks awesome! I am amazed at how great it looks, just thrilled! He even duplicated some fancy top stitching the other vendors refused to do and stayed to help me reattach the top to the base. I am so happy with my 'new' coffee table which, because it is real leather, will last forever. Sal is a craftsman who takes pride in his work and he is a really great guy too! Thanks so much, Sal!

I'd been holding off on replacing my existing stacked washer/dryer because there were so many…read morevariables to deal with. My condo association required a ventless dryer, I had limited space, and I didn't want to go through the hassle of bringing in an electrician to change out the existing 240V power receptacle for a standard 120V. I'd also gone through a nightmare with a salesperson at another appliance dealer who lacked attention to detail and frankly had a rotten attitude. When I found a w/d set that would satisfy all of my requirements, I couldn't find the dryer anywhere. Needless to say, I was getting discouraged. Having had positive experiences with P.C. Richard on smaller items in the past, I checked their website to find that they carried both units AND they were on sale. When I got to the store, Kevin M. helped me out, even showing me a couple of discounted (scratch & dent/refurbished) units in addition to the showroom models. After the sale, Kevin kept me updated on the status of my order and even asked me to take a photo of the 240V receptacle to assure we'd settled on the right units. (This was huge for me, as the salesperson at the first place I went to never bothered to ask, and in fact, sold me a 120V unit.) When the stacking piece was delayed, he offered a creative solution so that I'd get the washer and dryer in a timely fashion. On delivery day, the installers actually came *early* and did a great job removing my old w/d and setting up the new ones. I was impressed with their efficiency, attention to detail and that they took all of the packaging material with them when they left. All in all, a great experience! Bravo to Kevin and the team.
