Junior came out and met with us and somehow managed to translate my insane ramblings about shadowboxes and faux islands into exactly what I was wanting. He was able to make some recommendations for things I would have never even thought of (moving our stove down a few inches for extra drawers and building our fridge into the cabinets so we have more over fridge storage) and had our drawings to us immediately. He was up front about the pricing and we were able to pick and choose from options that met our needs but kept us within budget. The only real snag we hit was when my husband decided to go out on his own for places to buy granite from, but once we shopped from the list that Junior had given us things went a lot smoother. I was impressed with how organized everything was throughout the entire planning process. Junior gave us a timeline on when our work could begin and things went according to plan. The crew was friendly and worked really hard, they kept things as neat as you can expect from a kitchen remodel. Given everything I hear from other folks that have done kitchen remodels, I was braced for a lot of pain and delays, so I am pleased to report that things actually went faster than expected once I understood that the granite takes about a week to have cut after the cabinets are installed. I am so happy with my new kitchen, it is literally my dream come true. I cannot rave enough about Junior and the team from I4. =)

Called to get an estimate on a bathroom remodel. Office set up a time and confirmed. Estimator…read morecalled within 30 minutes and rescheduled. He asked me to send pictures and measurements and that he would be out the next day. 30 mins before he was suppose to be there, he called with a price over $9000 the highest estimate that I received. We talked about differences, and I mentioned that we had terrazzo so we did not want tile. He did not know what terrazzo was. I told him thank you, I was not interested in the estimate and hung up. I am sorry but if a estimator/designer in FL does not know what terrazzo is, I have issues since this is the most common flooring that was used in the older homes.

From the start, we loved the owners, the Patels, for their kindness, consideration, professionalism, and flexibility. The design ideas were outstanding, and ones we never would have thought of on our own. The suggested fixtures, timing, and every step of the way was easy, including same day or next day communication. We've had other work done in the past and experienced horror stories, so working with another set of strangers was scary. But this fear didn't last long once we met with the owners multiple times for planning then met the incredible crew that did the work. Trusting people in your home and in such private spaces is not easy, but it was with these guys. Joel, Pedro, Jamie, and Rodolfo were the absolute best in their field and the most respectful visitors to our home, from protecting furniture to cleaning up after themselves. Whenever we look at the bathrooms, we smile and I know I'll never forget the beautiful transformations and the people who made it happen. I can't recommended Elysium enough. 8/20/2023 Update…read more Elysium has told us not to call them anymore and only talk with their lawyer. So we are now having to prepare a Breach of Contract lawsuit. Since I posted the original critique, we have had two independent companies review the floor install work. Both assign 100% of the floor problems to installer error and 0% to site or manufacturer error and Elysium still won't take responsibility. Excerpts from the reports are below. Report #1 "We found that the wood flooring was installed without proper spacing from the wall. Most cases it was tight to the wall. We talked to the manufacturer and they said that the hickory flooring leaves the mill at 9% moisture. The wood is currently between 13 and 15%. The plywood below the hickory is 13 to 20%. The concrete is also above normal moisture content. Our conclusions Wood was not acclimated long enough inside the home before installation began. Concrete was not properly sealed. All they used was some black plastic. This is not sufficient and not to manufacturers requirements. Plywood was nailed to concrete instead of glued which would break the waterproofing barrier and is also not to spec. Our opinion is that since the concrete was not sealed and the floor was stained and varnished and the fact that the floor was not acclimated properly the moisture was trapped below the floor. Therefore the plywood and the hickory floor took on moisturizer and expanded. Since the floor was installed tight to the wall it could only go up creating the buckling in the finished floor. One other observance was that the installer did not use enough glue to attach floors. On wide plank solid hardwood you have to apply full cover glue. No bare spots. " Report #2 Conclusions Manufacturing Related Issues Observed: No manufacturing defciencies were observed Site Related Issues Observed: No site-related issues were observed Installation Related Issues Observed: 1) The Plywood subFoor is at a higher moisture level that NWFA recommendations. This can cause cupping in the installed plank. 2) Lack of expansion throughout the installation. From pictures provided by the consumer and contractor as well as easurements taken during the inspection show the recommended expansion was not kept causing the expansion of the floor to develop cupping. 3) Plank measurements show growth on both the first and second floor areas. The first floor grew an additional 1/4 inch most likely due to the moisture levels in the subfloor. 4) All concerns observed are installation related.

I will open this review by saying, I wish I'd done better due diligence on Ace, had I done so, I…read morenever would have hired them, so partially my fault for having a bad experience. I'm giving Ace Home Remodeling two stars instead of one because although the job was late and over budget in the end, I have an acceptable finished product. I'm giving this rating for three reasons. 1. Upon signing my contract with Ace we were directed to make a check out to Crash Crew LLC "for permits". When my permits were issued, I learned that a person I'd never met held the notice of commencement on my project, not Ace Home Remodeling. 2. On at least two occasions, the owner of Ace Remodeling informed us that her project manager was not cut out for remodeling work and was used to doing new construction. Everything I've been taught in business is to not bad mouth my employees to their clients. Needless to say, we were very unhappy with the project manager (failed to communicate to us, trades would show up at all hours of the day and evening unannounced, numerous errors made, low quality, etc) and so we asked that he be removed from our project. While this was initially agreed to towards the end, the owner brought him to our home on a Sunday morning, (we'd explicitly stated the project manager was not welcome at our job site) and were told - my business, my rules - IN OUR OWN HOME. Beyond unprofessional to me. 3. Work quality and re-work. Numerous measurement errors, causing the electrical and plumbing to have to be moved two and three times. Drywall seams meeting with no stud behind causing drywall cracking, walls built out of square and plumb. Shower pan failed inspection twice due to slope issues. Spot repairs to floor leveling causing uneven floors. No dimensioned drawings, and even then, when we together made site drawings, there were still multiple questions raised about the same topic. As I said, while many of these issues eventually got resolved, the amount of involvement from us as home owners was unacceptable. Because of the permitting issue above, we had to get an attorney involved to draw up a lien release (which Ace initially refused to sign) so that we could then file a Notice of Termination of the Notice of Commencement in order to protect our deed from someone who we had never met, nor had a contract with. It's really a shame because some of the tradespeople who worked on our job performed very good work.

He listened carefully to my wants and preferences and especially respected my budget. He designed a beautiful kitchen that optimized my space. My project manager was Jeff Bishop. He kept me informed of every step of the project. All of his contractors, from demo, electrical, plumbing and painting were outstanding. Each of them left the area clean when they were finished for the day. Jeff made sure that the timeliness of the project was met. I loved the cabinets, my new granite counter top, backsplash and even the handles. Rick understood my vision for my new kitchen. Jeff, brings many years of experience in home construction, had a very critical eye and made sure all the work was done perfectly. I couldn't have chosen two better professionals to give me the most beautiful kitchen.

Working with Rebekah from S&W on my bathroom was such a great experience. Communication skills and follow up are non existent with Majestic. The owner is quick to give you…read morean estimate and take your deposit but his follow up and timetable for job completion is terrible! He never answers his phone and responds to texts days later. He quoted us a 8-10 week time line on our custom entertainment unit and 6 months later the job was not completed. He dropped the ball on several occasions, promising and never delivering. I have never seen the owner of a company treat a customer this way! Stain color was wrong, and installation dates were missed several times with follow ups only after I called and texted several times. Buyers beware....i am writing this because I don't want you to be disappointed. He will talk a good game, cash your deposit and then take his time and disappoint you!
