Scrolling through my Yelp visits and was somewhat surprised to find I hadn't previously done a review for Casa Tequila. They have a very nice bar area that in this time of Covid is generally not very busy. We've taken to visiting on many occasions for margaritas and the complimentary chips & salsa. I generally do the large blended strawberry margarita at $12 a pop. If you put down two of these bad boys you're definitely feeling it when you get up from your stool. A clean dining area with efficient service any time we've visited. Pretty standard Mexican faire. I've not had a bad experience here. On Friday night in true Wisconsin fashion they have an all you can eat fish fry. I've done this on more than one visit and for a Mexican joint they offer a pretty solid fish fry. All and all, Casa Tequila is a pretty solid downtown West Bend stop. read more

The food was lacking flavor, the service was poor, the portions small, overall we felt the value was low. We had not eaten here in a couple of years, the quality overall has decreased, we do not plan to return anytime soon. We hope they correct whatever is causing this, love the location. read more

Located in the quant downtown West Bend we decided to stop in for a margarita. Somewhat of an odd entrance from the downtown street it almost seems like you are going in to an apartment, but once you make it in the restaurant is very nice. Had great service at the bar with the customary chips and salsa to enjoy a Texas margarita. It was a nice stop and next time we will try dinner as well! read more

I used to love this place. Last time their serving sizes were a bit ridiculous. Two tablespoons of beans a fourth cup of rice and a small handful of lettuce. Are you kidding me. Yeah I skipped the taco shell and said no to meat so thanks for the side salad. (Not ) i have been a customer for 10 plus years and that last time there has pretty much been the last time I will go there. Sad Get back to normal portions we notice things like that. read more

We were greeted and immediately seated. Our waitress greeted us with chips & salsa. Water was at our table quickly followed by a pitcher of mango margarita. My husband ordered a shrimp burrito and I had the chipotle chicken enchiladas. Food came out fast and hot. We were tired and hungry and it hit the spot. The people at the next table were regulars and shared some recommendations. We would definitely come back here again. read more

Went here on NYE and it wasn't busy at all. Staff are very kind and they kindly put two tables together for our large group. The chips and salsa are amazing! Same with the horchata. The margaritas are huge (we ordered a large, medium was still pretty big). The food was fantastic. I would definitely go here again! read more

Staff was excellent - however good service was very slow . Took over an hour to get our food . However like I said the staff was very friendly food was average. Portions on what we had wasn't the greatest but the complimentary chips and salsa filled us up. I have the trio - steak chicken and shrimp fajitas. I will defiantly come back and give it a try to see if different items are prepared faster and more portion sized. read more

I ordered them for delivery and was initially impressed by the quality considering it was take out. The time between ordering and pick up was very quick! I can't speak much on the interior, but I've driven past and the building looks so cool. Plenty of parking too! There was a large bag of chips that appeared homemade that came with the guacamole, which was pretty bland. I moved onto the chimichangas which were pretty standard. Still good though! The sour cream was watery and I think it may have been reduced fat which is not ideal when I'm splurging calories on takeout. I had ordered the tres leches cake but they replaced it with chimichanga cheesecake. They called to confirm this was okay and I was very appreciative! The next day I spruced up my guacamole with some extra seasoning and tried it again. In my first few bites I bit into an avocado stem. That was my last straw with the guacamole and I ended up throwing it out. I think there is some room for growth at this restaurant. I would definitely go for dine-in and try some other dishes! read more

After several visits and (previously) being assured that there was no meat in their vegetarian entrees, I learned that was not true. The beans and rice are cooked in pork and chicken broth. At least now I know why I was ill after eating there (those few times I did). Seriously, why offer vegetarian options if they aren't vegetarian?! Service and drinks were good. I've been to the Casa Tequila of West Bend a couple times and have never been disappointed. I personally like to sit in the bar area because of the TVs and for just the overall atmosphere it brings. The staff is very friendly and usually on top of their tables, making for an enjoyable experience. I usually order the chicken fajitas or the chicken fajita taco salad. Both are excellent choices and if you are looking to save carbs, just avoid eating the tortillas or taco shell. Of course when going to a Mexican restaurant, a margarita is a must! I personally like mine large and on the rocks, which they do very well. Overall, great place to grab Mexican food in West Bend and I don't think you'll be disappointed. read more

Normally I love this place, but tonight I ordered a blended blue Margarita and I didn't taste hardly any alcohol, there were chunks of ice and I left leaving it half full of blue ice. Very disappointed with tonight and I'm hoping it won't happen again. We have been here twice. Ita kinda out of the way for us. But the first time was amazing, service and food was on point. Came a second time and this place showed its true colors. Waited almost two hours for food. The plates were cold and the rice and beans were cold. The sour cream and salsa toppings were were at the stiff point to where you know it stayed out for too long. Always good food. Service this time was very good. Can be hit and miss depending on who is your server. If you can get Veronica, she will take care of you! We sat in the back room as it was busy. Love going there but again gave us the wrong dinner and the bartender said well you could reorder but it would take a while. Nachos there are soggy with the meat on top so we wanted them on the side. Came here after work with family. Was seated quickly and drink orders were taken fairly quickly but it was close to 20 minutes until they arrived. Close to 45 minutes after food was ordered I was notified that they were out of pork for my chimichangas and they ran out of modelo for my husband. Food came out but wasn't accurate. They were notified but we opted not to fix due to being worried that it would be another hour for food to arrive. Food was ok but was fairly bland/dry due to no sauce. Due to long wait and lack of communication around items they were out of, will not be coming here again. read more

We had a large group, 14 people, from were in West Bend for a run. We had reservations at another restaurant but they claimed we did not. So, we walked over to Casa Tequila hoping they would be able to accommodate us. Not only were they able to accommodate us but they were welcoming. The waiter was very friendly and the service was good for a party our size. The waiter even gave us separate checks. I ordered the Parrillada and it was good. The steak was excellent. My wife ordered the enchiladas and she really enjoyed them. Next time I am in West Bend, I will go there to eat again. read more

We dined here on a Sunday evening at about 7:15. We were greeted and seated without a wait. The waitress was nice but not attentive. We first ordered drinks and she bought out flat beer and spilled beer on the table. We advised her of flat beer and ordered different beer but it took awhile to get and we had to ask for napkins to wipe up the beer. The chips were average and one of the salsa dishes tasted old. When the dinner came, we had no utensils nor new napkins without beer. We had to take utensils from another table. The food was good but certainly not special. read more

"At least there's Mexican food in West Bend." The Lunch specials are adequate, and come with a soft drink. The enchiladas mole were okay. The pico de gallo salsa that came with the chips was good, but the other salsa was more like ketchup with a cilantro leaf in it. Service was adequate. If you're not wanting to dine at yet another Pub in downtown WB, this is a passable option, and at least kid-friendly. read more

Quick friendly service and great food. The Chipotle Enchiladas were served hot and fresh. The cheese (maybe chihuahua?) was so tasty and gooey. Rice beans were tasty as well! The place is immaculate and nice and bright. Great view of the downtown West Bend. We will be back! read more

We have enjoyed Casa Tequila several times. I like both the mild and chunky salsa. There tostadas are usually good. I enjoy going to watch the Packer games in the bar. You get touchdown shots and a small complimentary appetizer if you are there at half time. Service has also been good. Chimichangas are excellent. The parrillada is also excellent. This place is a lot of fun. West Bend should be happy to have it. Ambience is great! A lot of workmanship went into construction; from the faux-stucco walls, bright colors, arches and other piece of architecture that blend with high-end wood and modern finishes to give an authentic - yet clean and updated - feel. Food is very tasty - menu items are standard Mexican-American restaurant fare with a few premium items. Service is usually very speedy. The food is delicious!. Everything tasted very fresh. They serve two salsas with the chips. One chunky which is medium and one blended mild. They are both delicious. I will highly recommend the "tacos de lomo" ribeye steak tacos served with rice and beans. Margaritas are awesome too. I will recommend the strawberry blended margarita. They definitely use natural strawberries instead of artificial flavors. Service was great. Our waitress was very attentive even though she was getting a little too busy with other tables. It was a Thursday night about 630 PM and my family decided to go here for dinner. They had 2 for 1 mojitos, but I wanted a modelo especial with my tacos, sadly they had run out. Turns out they ran out of many things, Al Pastor being the main one. My tacos came out warm and dry like they had been under a heat lamp for an hour, which ironically is what happened. Dinner didnt come to the table for at least a full hour after we had ordered. It seemed like this restaurant just wasn't prepared as well as other restaurants. I cant say the food had much flavor as it had been under a lamp for a bit and was warm combined with my desire to get something to eat. This place is absolutely horrible. The only good thing about this place was the chips and salsa. I got the super nachos and those where alright. I also got a burrito and there were only about 6 pieces of meat in my burrito. It was so greasy as well. The Spanish rice tasted like it was made from the ones you buy at Walmart. No taste to anything at all. I've heard good things about this places and thought I'd give it a try. Dont get me wrong the waitress was very nice but the food was disgusting. We added for the additional items and they were brought out after we ate. The manager said 45 minutes was an acceptable waiting time!?! Then when we got our bill The lady added a tip to the bill without telling us and was going to let us tip her again so she was cheating us out of money and when she saw us adding it up she came over and explained it to us. I go here often and never leave disappointed. Casa Tequila consistently provides delicious, warm meals, and reasonable portions! The staff are super friendly and always carry on great conversations. I'm greeted and seated immediately. The chips and salsa are usually great. Downtown West Bend is very nice, making the location of Casa Tequila perfect. Others have said the service can be slow, but personally I have never experienced this. I highly recommend this place! read more
