Luxury Cruz
Don't let the businesslike foyer put you off, nothing can prepare you for what awaits in the main dining room. Originally a church, then the Stock Exchange, the restaurant is about as opulent as it's possible to be, without being at all stuffy or pretentious. I spent one of the best nights ever here, with nine friends and, as there were a couple of birthdays in our party, we really went for it -- aperitifs, four courses, decent wines, coffees and liqueurs, but, despite the quality of the food and service and the OTT décor, we managed to spend less than £20 each. Even after four hours, when we felt we may be outstaying our welcome, the manager came over to chat to us with more drinks. I've been back since and nothing seems to have changed. Highly recommended. read more
