Went here today for the first time. Well the first time I had it was in high school but it was brought in by someone related to the owners. It's crazy because I live less than 2 minutes away. The service was nice and friendly. It's a buffet style line and the owner (I'm assuming) was patient while I figured out what I wanted to order. I got the Casa Maria which wS 2 enchiladas and one crispy taco, with beans and rice. My total was $16.24. The food was okay. Well let me say that crispy beef taco was delicious. It all came with a side of guacamole and chips and salsa. I got a cheese and beef enchilada with chili and cheese sauce. I didn't enjoy the enchiladas nor the cheese or chili sauce. I can't describe the taste but it didn't taste homemade. It's a decent sized seating area. Family friendly place. I encourage others to give it a try. Everyone's taste buds are different.

I daydream about the sopapilla from Casa Juanito's! We stopped by for the first time and were greeted by the kindest workers. I ordered the chile verde dinner and my husband ordered enchiladas. The rice and beans were some of the best I've had and the chile verde sauce on my chicken enchiladas really hit the spot. Loved the buffet style, the value is amazing, and our food was clearly delicious. We cleaned our plates! The best part was the sopapilla though. We enjoyed our first visit!

The food was delicious. Seasoning on everything is on point. Make sure to check out their suiza chicken enchiladas. Their spicy queso is on point! Hopefully you get blessed with Lupe was your server, he is the best! And don't forget to order sopapillas, they even got mini's! The environment is friendly and family oriented.

We ordered enchiladas, beef tips, rice, beans, potatoes, and beer :)

I love their food, but price wise they are pretty pricey for the fast-food type atmosphere. What really irritates me was charging me for a tiny thing of guacamole when we spend ninety dollars!!! Watch the prices! I guess it used to be cheaper back in the day ! ;)

If you're going for a gourmet Mexican meal, you're not going to get this here. However if you're looking to step back in time and go back to the good old days of yesteryear, then this is your place. The food was good but more so the atmosphere was where it was at. The place was packed with families enjoying each others company. There not many of these types of places left and i can see why it has survived for so long.

Chicken enchilada, charro beans, DELICIOUS! They've been here since the 80's so you know it's awesome.

The service is also excellent. All friendly efficient staff. Busy lunch time in a diner feel. Cafeteria style service. The food is all so tasty and authentic Mexican.

Sauce bottles left to right... Mayo. Yes. Mayo. Don't knock it until you try it. Creamy Green sauce. Spicy af but amazing. Red salsa. Spicy too with an addictive kick. Original salsa in the cup that came with my chips and salsa. Hot too but not crazy. BUTTER. Yes. Mix butter with any salsa and a chip and you're in heaven. You're welcome. It arrived as this dramatic, beautifully constructed tower of mixed seafood topped with avocado and a whole shrimp--definitely a dish that makes an entrance. The seafood seemed fresh, but I discovered that this particular style of mixed mariscos just isn't for me. Some of the seafood had a gray, translucent appearance and texture that I personally didn't enjoy. That may simply be characteristic of the preparation rather than any problem with the dish. I only tried this one item, so I don't think it would be fair to judge the kitchen more broadly based on my personal preference. What I can comment on much more definitively is the noise. It was extraordinarily loud. I eventually pulled out my phone and measured the sound level because I genuinely wanted to know whether it was as loud as it felt. I recorded levels exceeding 100 dB, with peaks around 103 dB. The staff couldn't have been friendlier. Unfortunately, I could barely hear them. I enjoy energetic restaurants and certainly don't expect dinner to take place in a library. But there's a point where "lively atmosphere" becomes something prospective customers deserve to know about before deciding where to spend an evening. This crossed that line for me. If a very high-energy, extremely loud environment is your thing, you may have a completely different experience. If you're hoping to have a conversation over dinner without shouting across the table, I'd choose accordingly. Friendly staff, impressively presented food, and a seafood dish that simply wasn't my jam. But the volume overwhelmed everything else about the experience--and at 103 dB, that's not background music. That's the main course.

I was super lucky that it was happy hour and basically half of their menu is on happy hour special, so if you can swing it I would take advantage. I started with the nachos and I have to say they are among the best I have had at a restaurant! Usually when you get loaded nachos the chips get soggy and makes the nachos hard to eat but the tortilla chips are hearty and can hold some serious mass. Tons of flavor are packed here too! Every quarter unlocks a new taste sensation, from the queso to the guacamole to the protein and the jalapeños! I would highly recommend these. They are a great portion to share, or if you are like me, incredibly hungry single person. I had a bit more room in me after walking around the city all day and decided on the Barbacoa Lamb Tacos. And they also had some great flavor to them. Simple nothing ostentatious about them but I mean that as a compliment, they let the lamb do the talking! The restaurant itself is open and if fully packed I can see it getting loud. There is also an outside patio and bar option available. Staff was good very nice and attentive.

It was very busy when we walked in but there was no wait. We were thankfully seated immediately and started off with chips and salsa. The chips were nice and crispy, but the salsa was mediocre. The tomatoes tasted canned. While I can totally get the efficiency behind using canned tomatoes for a busy restaurant, the taste is not preferred. The kids chicken quesadilla plate was a good amount of food! I just wish the quesadilla was already sliced as it was for our 3 year old. The chicken was also bland. Again, the portions were great. My son ordered the Burrito La Herencia with ground beef and this was seasoned well. Again, great portions of beans, rice & main dish. No complaints with this one! My spouse ordered the La Herencia fajita special and felt as if it was lacking. The steak pieces were minuscule and the shrimp was bland and undercooked. The pork chop was thinly sliced which was nice but VERY salty. We were wishing for more peppers and onions as well. Overall this dish was salty, but tolerable! It came with a side plate of rice, beans, pico de gallo, guac, sour cream & lettuce. Served with flour tortillas. We ordered the queso & guac while we were looking at the menu and waiting. I personally did not enjoy the queso. It was thick and had an artificial mouth feel. The guac was decent! Bland overall but I love the taste of avocado. I wish it had more lime and seasoning though since it was supposed to be Guacamole and not avocado dip. I ordered the Steak Mexicano with extra jalapeños and this was very good. Still on the salty side but I enjoy things on a SLIGHTLY saltier range. My spouse thought the steak was TOO salty. The peppers, onions, and tomatoes were nicely sautéed and seasoned. The rice here is also DELICIOUS. I hate a bland Mexican rice. The beans were good too but nothing to write home about. I do wish I was offered a side of corn tortillas. Overall this experience was okay! Not the worst but definitely not the best. The restaurant was beautifully decorated but there was a noticeable lack of music. We were sat listening to the chatter of all the different customers and kitchen noises. We did have the option of booth or table AND they have boosters seats/ high chairs upon request.
