Went to this place today as I was craving for some food for breakfast, which is also very convenient because it's just two minutes away by walking from Hyattsville Crossing Metro Station. I ordered a typical Salvadoran breakfast with a "supposed to be four oz carne azada, extra charge $5.50, which was maybe two oz after all", whatever, food was ok, but I think the horchata drink was overpriced $5.00 for a glass of horchata? That was crazy. I ordered some empanadas too and I think the plantains weren't ripe at all, texture feel hard with an unpleasant flavor, service was bored, but the thing that really kill the vibe and the ambience, was the coldness inside that place, oh Lord, food got cold two minutes after served. I'm not sure if the heater was broken or if they had it at all, but that was crazy cold inside that place. Bathroom toilet isn't working properly too, had to deal it with. if I would try it again? I don't think so. If would I recommend it as today? No.

Great tacos and customer service! Definitely recommend you try this spot as the environment is a whole vibe itself! I will be going back soon to try the fajitas!

I ordered food to go, I was eating and I found a fly on my soup. That was really nasty, make sure if you order food, make sure you when you are eating.

So the pupusas were delicious I got revuelta and chicharron. Couldn't tell the difference between them but they were both delicious. In addition I got the mini ceviche. The size was ideal and they were generous with the shrimp. The ambience was nice however the parking situation was a little complicated. It's totally authentic.

The food here was PHENOMENAL, Simply Delicious. salmon, shrimp mixed vegetables and the customer service was outstanding!

Outstanding customer service, it's been a long time since I've eaten everything on the plate, usually I save some for later but the food was so fresh and cooked just right I had to enjoy every bite. The customer service was phenomenal, so you de ide to come, ask for Allison...he was the best Ever! I will be back with my friends. So Stay Tuned

Fantastic service and amazing flavors with the authentic Salvadoran touch. My overall experience was highlighted by the friendly, dinamic and professional service of the server named Vilma Ayala, but I have to give credit also to the team. Encharge of the preparation of the food in the kitchen, they prepared my order with efficiency in no time. I am planning to make my special order this Holidays to take home; some fajita mix to sheare with friends. Thanks for the marvelous experience. Keep up with the hard work...!

Not Good at all it doesn't even deserve one start, they took my order wrong twice and my food was Raw this is the worst service I've seen in the restaurant industry. I don't recommend eating here. EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK

Delicious Central American food. The cheese pupusa was amazing and so delicious. Tried the locora out of curiosity and it was pretty good. The meats was well seasoned. The drinks nice and cold the super service. Our waitress was nice and always checked up on us. Will be back

I love this place! I've never had bad food. Now, they don't really speak English so, make sure you check your food. My chicken salad often turned into a chicken sandwich. Try it out. Yum!

Went here because of a recommendation. It was good but not the best. It was cheap and quick despite the fact it was busy when we got there. The horchata wasnt that good though.

First time coming to this place. Place was expensive compared to nearby Latin food. There was no transparency in prices.

The owner is from El Salvador and worked in some of D.C.'s favorite restaurants like Le Diplomat and Jose Andres' restaurants. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but start with the pupusas made from either corn or rice flour. I personally loved the mushroom and spinach ones in corn flour and the pork with rice flour. The shrimp is perfectly grilled and the pupusas come out crispy and smooth on the inside. The shrimp tacos are worth getting too. This place is so inviting and warm. Come in as a stranger and leave family.

It came with the usual cabbage and sauce/salsa I enjoyed the chicken and pork the best. Since you can't get a bite of shrimp in every bite like you can with chicken and pork, the shrimp is my least favorite. The pupusas were really good, so much so I really didn't need the sauce or cabbage. But it was nice to have of course. The food is made to order of course so it took a few minutes. The staff here is really nice and even brought my order to the front door when I went next door to grab my pizzas! I'll definitely be back for more pupusas! Buen provecho!

I ordered three chicken and cheese pupusas, and they were a great size. I was nearly full after the first two. The flavor was on point. My apologies for my photo because I was already halfway through my third pupusa before I remembered to snap a picture. I also tried the corn tamale, which my wife and I enjoyed a lot. On top of that, I ordered a steak taco, which unfortunately didn't make it into a picture either because I ate it too fast. What stood out to me was the "shell." Instead of the usual flour or corn tortilla, it uses the same masa dough as the pupusa, and I really enjoyed that difference. We finished our meal with the nuegados en miel dulce, something I had never tried before. I was glad I did because it was delicious and a great way to end the meal. Overall, the food and experience were excellent. If you are like me and rely on Yelp reviews to decide where to eat, I highly recommend giving La Casita Pupuseria & Market a visit.
